Passengers are carried by tram on Queen’s Pier, Ramsey, for the first time in more than 40 years.🙌
The tram last ran in 1981 ahead of the pier closing in June 1991 due to safety fears and repeated vandalism.
Sunday was a big day for Ramsey with celebrations marking the 125th anniversary of the Manx Electric Railway’s extension to the town.
A vintage bus ferried passengers from Ramsey MER station to Queen’s Pier and Jurby Transport Museum.

Visitors had a chance to try out the tiny P50s and Tridents for size before they headed off to Government House.

Stunning display of Northern Lights tonight
The ever-popular Easter bunny trains returned to Groudle today in glorious spring sunshine.
Families had a chance to enter the free Easter Egg Hunt to win a £50 voucher to spend at Ocean Views Bar & Grill, a giant Easter Bunny and a year's family pass to the railway.
The trains return tomorrow on Easter Monday.
Emergency services have been tackling a gorse fire just outside Port St Mary.
Police advised residents to keep doors and windows closed as the fire sent a plume of smoke over parts of the village.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 4.30pm today (Sunday).
The firefighters’ task was made challenging due to the difficult to access location of the fire, which was just off the Raad ny Foillan coastal footpath near Perwick bay.
Visitors to Queen’s Pier, Ramsey, enjoy a dazzling display of Christmas lights on a dusk walk yesterday (Saturday).
The final dusk walk takes place today between 4pm and 6pm. Entry is free but donations are welcome.

All aboard for the penultimate day of this year’s Santa trains at Groudle Glen. Trains shuttled between North Pole Halt and Santa’s Halt complete with Santa’s grotto, and mince pies, hot chocolate and mulled wine for the grown ups.
A section of Station Road, Port Erin, remains closed tonight over the risk of items falling in high winds from the scaffolding surrounding the Falcon’s Nest Hotel.
The road closure was put in place on Saturday night.
Buses are diverting via Bridson Street.
Police are patrolling the area to ensure motorists abide by the road closure and divert round Athol Park/Droghadfayle Road rather than attempt to drive wrong way back up Station Road.
