It's the day we've been waiting for: the launch of The Future Series with 'Womann' in this week's Isle of Man Courier!

What a way to spend International Women's Day!

Startup Grind Isle of Man are a group bringing together '𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦-𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘦𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩, 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣, 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝, 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥, 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜.'

Since joining us as a Senior Graphic Designer in 2021, Kim has played a pivotal role in our transition from Isle of Man Newspapers to Media Isle of Man.

Kim's exceptional talent and vision have been key in creating new visual identities for Gef's 30 Under 30, the Awards for Excellence, and most recently, the Future Series.

Kim and her (all female!) team are currently working on an exciting project that spotlights the remarkable women within our island community, showcasing their stories in a way that resonates with and empowers our readers.

Here at Media Isle of Man, we were treated to a visit by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer and Lady Lorimer today, as part of an opportunity to recognise Richard Butt’s time as editor after nearly 15 incredible years.

With Richard passing the baton on to the new editor, Dion Jones, it was a great chance for His Excellency to learn more about our campaigns such as Gef 30 Under 30 and the Awards for Excellence, as well as our work across print and digital.

Deputy Chairman, Trudi Williamson MBE, said: “We were delighted to welcome His Excellency and Lady Lorimer to meet the team and talk through new developments at Media Isle of Man. Keen to learn more about our journalists’ career paths in today’s increasingly digital landscape, His Excellency talked with our enthusiastic, young reporters about training and essential experience gained in the field, whilst members of the commercial team shared insights into our digital evolution. It was a pleasure to host this important visit at such a pivotal time for our business."
