Happy 1st Little Mountain Sound Studios Day; December 19th, 2023!

What an honour it was to witness Mayor and counsel (with special help from ) present Armoury Studios’ owner and wife of Bruce Fairbairn, Julie Glover, and to our world-class client Mike Fraser with Official Proclamations from the City of Vancouver. The Proclamations recognize the achievements, legacy, and “swagger!” that Little Mountain Sound Studios, including everyone involved, brought to the music community in Vancouver.

Documentary by will be on tonight at 10 PM on Global BC1. Vancouver landmarks will be lit up with gold and platinum in celebration as well. Check it out!

Armoury Studios circa 1999.

Built in 1993 for Jim Vallance, the studio was acquired by Bruce Fairbairn in 1995 and remains a legacy to his work, continuing to be run by his family.

With years of being one of Canada's few purpose-built high-end recording facilities, we couldn't be more excited to see what projects next year brings!

Thank you for everyone’s interest in the CBC story that ran today. In view of this recent news story, please know that Armoury Studios is operational. We have evidence the interference in some of our microphones is coming from Rogers cell towers on a nearby building and we believe that the problem arose after Huawei equipment was replaced by Ericsson 5G equipment last year. Additional testing is scheduled for Monday June 7th and we await the third party results. Other studios have also been affected so we hope to hold Rogers Communications accountable.
