Winter is coming, and in some parts of the world, the cold weather and the reduced hours of sunlight could reduce the emotional cheer of communities. However, as winter sets in the holiday season, public activations become the perfect way to fight back and bring warmth, joy, and togetherness to communities.

Throwing Back when we collaborated with NTT Data to produce a unique multimedia experience for their conference grand opening, “The New Tomorrow Together Summit.”

This conference is an annual, invitation-only, immersive event experience designed to showcase business and technology trends that are disrupting, changing, and shaping the world, so they wanted to create a spectacle that resonated with the conference theme, and we had the opportunity to use multimedia technology to impress their audience.

At corporate events, first impressions are crucial. The opening should set the tone and establish an atmosphere that generates excitement for what’s to come. A low-impact start can create the wrong impression and lead to low engagement or a failure to impress the audience.

A few years ago, Go2 Productions collaborated with Latincouver to present a projection mapping show for the Day of the Dead at Granville Island, Vancouver, in honour of Latin Heritage Month.

This incredible celebration allowed us to display Mexico's rich cultural customs. The animations narrated the history of Dia de los Mu***os and displayed some of its essential elements, such as bread and the cempasúchil flower and how is celebrated today. This show was a success and also drew parallels to the Halloween festivities we all know and love.

The results of that projection united the Vancouver community and diffused culture. We're immensely proud to have contributed to this project and seasonal festivities.

Throwing back to May 2018, when WestJet and Go2 Productions Inc. collaborated to announce the new livery design for their 787 Dreamliner planes.

WestJet wanted to create a buzz in the media as the new planes featured, for the first time, a Business Class and a redesigned modern cabin. This meant a new level of comfort and an upgraded experience for WestJet customers and crew. Because the planes were not ready yet, WestJet was looking for a unique solution to introduce these newer interior designs at their 2018 AGM and get the public and staff excited about them, so they decided to do a projection mapping spectacle.

WestJet teamed up with Go2 Productions to make the projection at the hanger doors of their headquarters in Calgary, Canada, to give the illusion that the plane was actually present. Then, they explored the inside of the plane and revealed the new livery design.

Over 1,000 people, including WestJet employees and the media, attended the product launch. The event was also live-streamed on Social Media, and the audiovisual experience had the crowd in a chorus of applause and excitement at the end.

Throwing back when we created Mirage, an immersive 360 projection mapping experience at Metrotown Mall.

MIRAGE was an art installation that opened for 7 weeks. The audiovisual show consisted of a colourful journey of 3D illusions and shapes, being the perfect background for a social media photo or video.

Within the first few days of opening, over 1000 people per day were going through the experience. By the end of the first week, the numbers were up to 1200 people per day, with hundreds of tweets, IG stories, and posts being uploaded to other social media daily.

Results:

✅ Great time for people
✅ Social Media Buzz
✅ hashtag posts received 3,124 comments and 70,736 likes on Instagram
✅ 300+ tagged videos shared on social media
✅ Increased demand for shoppers to see the immersive experience.
