মিটারের মাধ্যমে চুরি করে জনগণের কি পরিমাণ অর্থ যে চুষে খেয়েছে তার ইয়ত্তা নেই। উদাহরণ হিসেবে - একই বাড়িতে মাসে বিল আসে ১০০০-১২০০ টাকা। এই বাড়িতে হঠাৎ ২৫০০ বিল আসে। এদিকে মিটার ভাড়া, ডিমান্ড চার্জ, আরও কি কি চার্জ কেটেই যাচ্ছে। আর কত? স্বচ্ছতা দরকার৷

আমাদের জাতীয় জীবনে যত অর্জনের লড়াই, প্রতিটির একটি দুটি প্রতিকী ছবি আমাদের মনোজগতে গেথে আছে সংগ্রামের প্রতীক হয়ে। শেখ হাসিনা কেন ইতিহাসের নিকৃষ্ট স্বৈরশাসক হয়ে থাকবে, তার অন্যতম আইকনিক দালিলিক প্রমান হিসেবে এই ছবি, ইতিহাসে স্থান পাবে বলে আমার বিশ্বাস।
এই ঘটনা টা ক্লিয়ার অনুসন্ধান খুব জরুরি! আরও একটি ঘটনা , যেটা আহত দের গাড়ীর ভিতর রেখে , পুরো গাড়ী আগুণ দিয়ে পুড়িয়ে মারা। আমাদের স্পষ্ট প্রস্তাবনা: ২০১৩/১৪ থেকে যত পুলিশ নিয়োগ হয়েছে তাদের সবার নিয়োগ আবার যাচাই বাছাই করা একটা স্বাধীন কমিশনের মাধ্যমে। আমাদের রাষ্ট্রের স্থিতিশীলতার জন্যেই এটা দরকার। খুনে মানুষিকতার কাউকে আমরা রাষ্ট্রের পোশাক পরিয়ে রাখতে পারি না।
