Welcome to State Magazine for 2013! The UWA Politics Club and State are not-for-profit organisations which encourage debate and discussion on political, economic and social issues pertinent to West Australia, Australia and the wider world. With no political alignment we are a truly independent body. This means no political topic is taboo whether it be writing on the political discourse in relation
to asylum seekers, democracy in Africa, po*******hy and censorship or leadership challenges as examples. State therefore is a must have students who love their politics! Although you may not entirely agree with the opinions expressed here we hope to challenge conventional views and encourage discourse between those of different opinions. If you strongly disagree or even disagree just a tad why not fire off a barrage in response - write articles, send letters, or emails to our editors.
