We are proud to announce the release of our Online Special Issue 3, 'Westerly: Crossings', edited by Amy Hilhorst and Owen Bullock!

This issue showcases a collection of postgraduate work by students fromThe University of Western Australia, and the IPSI - International Poetry Studies Institute, based at the University of Canberra.

The selected stories, poems and essays are linked by subtle themes such as the combination of questions and answers, certainty and uncertainty, and loss and discovery.

We hope this issue offers an entertaining celebration of the strength of our emerging, home-grown talent as well an exciting glimpse into the future of the Australian literary scene.

WE'VE CHANGED OUR NAME!

We're so excited to announce that Trove will now be known as Tenderfoot! We hope this name change will reflect our dedication to support emerging creatives and celebrate the work students and recent graduates have to offer.

Our page name will be changed shortly (after a couple administrational hoops have been jumped) but we wanted to let you all know about this exciting change!

Our latest issue and the first under the Tenderfoot name will be released later today. Keep your eyes peeled for our next post. 👀

The literary sector is in strife!
For many graduates who want to get involved in the sector, it is concerning to see that the government is not recognizing the importance, the significant outcomes and the outputs that are associated with writing.
If this concerns you, please visit the Writing WA petition: https://www.change.org/p/invest-in-wa-writing-and-publishing

If you are a writer, an illustrator, publisher, editor, bookseller, reader and/or supporter of Western Australian literature and would like to see stronger representation for our sector in State Government cultural policy and investment, please sign
