In 3 weeks I will be shooting videos for the attendees of the run by The Seven Effect.

This incredible retreat was one of the first project I've worked on when I arrived in Adelaide 2 years ago and was just starting in business! So it feels like the perfect way to wrap up my stay in Australia (I am literally jumping on the plane two days after the retreat!)

If you're not familiar with retreat, it is a 7-day luxury escape for women in business where you work with experts in photography, videography, make-up and marketing to create a library of high-quality content for your brand! And it all happens at the beautiful Middleton Beach Huts 🤩

I've put myself in your shoes today! And let me tell you I don't particularly enjoy switching sides 😅

Like most of us, when I step in front of a camera I don't nail it in one take. I stumble on my words, I loose my train of thought in the middle of my answer and I struggle to articulate my ideas.

This is why the most important thing for me is to get to know you and truly understand your brand. I want to know your story so well that when it's time for you to deliver it on camera, I can hold your hand every step of the way. Help you find the words that will resonate with your audience, the ones that really capture who you are. Because when you're in that seat I know how hard it can be ❤

Did you know I used to be a TV journalist?

Back in France I worked both as a camera operator and a reporter for the regional newscast. There were things I truly loved about the job, others not so much. I’ve covered some pretty cool stuff, from forensic doctors trying to identify WWII soldier remains to mountain experts evaluating avalanche risk.

But the best part about it was the diversity of people I got to meet on a daily basis. Doing stories on local artists, small businesses and putting the spotlight on everyday people and their various talent and skills was honestly my absolute favourite!

I’m so glad this is still very much at the heart of what I do today in my business ❤

Exciting news! I’m moving back to France! I’m not going to lie, it has been a very hard decision to make but after living abroad for almost 6 years my partner and I have decided it was time for us to be close to family again.

We have absolutely loved our life here in Australia, met incredible people that will be lifelong friends so moving to France definitely feels a little bit bittersweet but we are really excited for this new chapter of our life!

On the business side, I’m thrilled to announce to you that Kookaburra Films will keep telling your beautiful stories! I’m currently talking with some amazing videographers here in Adelaide that will be collaborating with me so we can keep creating unique and authentic brand story videos for you ❤

How inspiring is Hayley's story from Zynski Bakes!
Can you see the late nights in the kitchen, the challenges of trying to start a business while raising a kid?

Sharing your story is so important and a video can do this in such a powerful way!
It creates an emotional connection between you and your audience. Hearing you and seeing you talk about your journey really gives people the feeling that they know you even if they haven't met you. Add to that some compelling visuals of you doing what you do best and now you're inviting your customers into your world! And who would'nt want to be in Hayley's world!? 😋😍😍

I haven't took the time to do a fun 2023 recap during the holidays (or post anything at all as a matter of fact...😑) so I'm going to start the year by sharing some of my favorite videos of 2023!

I don't think I've worked with many people that felt really confident and pumped to be speaking in front of the camera! And putting the right words on what you do and why you do it is usually pretty overwhelming for a lot of my clients.

So when you receive your video and you have the same reaction as the beautiful Suzanne from SA Weight Loss Hypnosis - Freedom from Binge & Emotional Eating for Women it is just THE most rewarding feeling for me. It's my why. Getting people to share their stories ❤

Your story is worth sharing! In SA we are very lucky to have hundreds of beautiful wineries. Yay for us! But as a winemaker it can be overwhelming to try to find ways to stand out.

Sharing your story is a great way to create a connection with your customers. When people see and hear you talk about your wines, they hear the passion that goes into making each bottle and how much you care ❤
They get a glimpse of your philosophy and they get a chance to connect with you before they even met you!

What are strategy session for?

Before we start shooting your brand story video I take the time to get to know you and your business. I ask you questions to understand your unique story, why you are so passionate about what you do and how you do things - everyone has a personal touch 😉. This allow us to build a framework for your video and determine the key elements of your story.

This is what the framework looked like for Suzanne Ingleton from SA Weight Loss Hypnosis - Freedom from Binge & Emotional Eating for Women after our strategy session together:

👉 Introduction: a few sentences to get her audience to quickly understand who she is and what she does

👉 Her background story: as a young girl Suzanne developed an unhealthy relationship with food and her body that carried through to adulthood. When she got diagnosed with cancer she decided to turn her life around

👉 Suzanne's observation on weight loss: Suzanne quickly discovered the unhealthy and extreme diet practices people were putting themselves through to try to lose weight. Her observation is what lead her to build a different approach to weight loss

👉 Suzanne's unique approach to weight loss: Suzanne realised that the missing link was the mind and so that became central to her unique approach (using NLP practices, hypnosis...)

👉 A powerful end statement: "We don't just help you win the battle with your weight, we empower you to win the battle over your mind".

Watch Bec and Craig from Ginny Pig Distillery talk about their amazing gins 😊

In this video we wanted to focus on the beautiful tasting experience they offer to their guests. The goal was to:

✅ give a glimpse of all the gorgeous flavours infused in their gins

✅ showcase an intimate and relaxed tasting experience, where you get to chat with the owners and learn about the distilling process

✅ and show how passionate Bec and Craig are about their gins!

The video was shot during the organised by The Seven Effect and tomorrow we will be back at the Beach Huts Middleton to create content like this for a new group of women in business!! I seriously can't wait 🤩

Suzanne works with eating psychology, neurolinguistics and hypnosis to help people transform their relationship with food and body. She came to the organised by The Seven Effect in May and we shot for her 3 videos to help her with her marketing:

- a short video that invites her target audience to try the benefits of hypnosis by downloading her free offer
- a promotional video about her main program that focus on her unique approach to weight loss
- and a brand story video to tell the powerful story that lead her to become the weight loss coach expert she is now

These two just came back from the US where they received the prestigious award of Best in Class Gin in the world! How incredible is that! I have been so quiet on here - not that I'm usually extremely active! The month of June has been busy with lots of editing so my online presence took a little hit (my workout routine too 😅)!

In May I had the pleasure to create a video package for 10 amazing women in business at the organised by .seven.effect and putting all the videos together has been a massive job (I am not done yet, but getting there and very excited to start releasing the videos soon!).

I absolutely loved filming beautiful workshop. Renée runs journaling workshops for mums, where women get to sit together, reflect on their journey as a mother and put pen to paper. Renée wanted a video to help people understand what they could expect when attending one of her workshop. The experience is very emotional, the afternoon is filled with laughs, tears and beautiful connections are formed between the ladies attending as they share their stories. This is what I wanted to capture in this video 💕

I shot this video for the lovely . Renee offers art sessions in her beautiful garden in the Adelaide Hills and wanted to create a video that would showcase the fun and relaxed atmosphere of her painting sessions!

I am obsessed with her work and it's definitely on my bucket list to attend one of her class and try to paint a piece in her fabulous style 🤩

Highlight videos are a great way to capture the magic of your event and promote your product or your brand. I shot this video for the lovely .
The idea was to create a short video that Bénigne could share on her socials to advertise for the launch of her first book. It was a very emotional moment for Bénigne; writing her own book has been a dream of hers for a long time. The event was a celebration of all the incredible things you can achieve when you set your mind to it and surround yourself with people that support you. I wanted this video to showcase the empowering and supportive atmosphere in the room. I also wanted to show Bénigne not afraid to be vulnerable on stage as she talks about overcoming limiting beliefs.

Meet Katrina from Meaningful Lives - with Katrina Williams 🙂

Katrina is an end of life Doula and death literacy educator. She is on a beautiful mission to change how we talk about death and provides non-medical support and guidance to people on their end of life journey.

Katrina had never stepped in front of a camera to tell her story before. For a lot of people the idea of talking in front of a camera and deliver their message with confidence is quite daunting. "Where do I start? How do I explain my mission in less than 2 minutes? Should I talk about this?"

My job is not simply to shoot and edit your video. My job is also to help you structure your message and guide you to deliver it the best way possible.
