I am Katja Finžgar, born on June 11, 1996, in Koper, Slovenia. I grew up in Rače, a suburb of Maribor. Even as a child, I was always different from my peers; I had my own style of dressing and listened to hip-hop and rap music.

I went to high school for fashion design, but when I turned 18, my parents divorced, and I fell into bad company, losing the will to go to school.
I started working in nightclubs and various bars to make a living. However, one day, I realized that I no longer wanted to live such a purposeless life. In 2019, I decided to spend my last money on a hairdressing education, which I completed in 2021.

My name is Pasquale Lia, and I’m a barber based out of New Jersey, U.S.A. I have been cutting hair for just over 4 years. I have a deep passion for Precision-Based cutting as well as Fading. My barbering apprenticeship started in late February of 2020. I worked for a few weeks and then everything went into lockdown. During that time, I had doubts about whether or not to continue my career. I didn’t have full experience in a shop setting, and I didn’t have a lot of knowledge on how to cut. On top of that, I had little to no clientele. I am telling you this because I realized that during these times of hardship, there was only 1 thing to do: put on the blinders and work hard. I understood that nothing is given in this industry and that if I want something, I have to go out and take it. By receiving education and having proper mentors, my ways shifted for the better. From traveling to Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto, I have learned so many great things from so many great mentors.

Since switching my mentality and understanding that things are not handed out in this industry, I try and inspire others to push themselves to limits that they didn’t think were possible. I work for City Image and have also educated for the company. In addition to educating for City Image, I am now an Ambassador for the Learn to Cut Program. Finally, I put what I have learned to the test by cutting at showcases and by teaching in private classes.

If I were to leave you with anything, it is this: Let the Unknown Be Known. Dream big because Anything is Possible.

I’m Jake Pfleger, Owner & Director of .CTRL Male Image, based in Gloucester, England.
I’ve been cutting hair ambitiously for the last 5 years, starting out at the start of lockdown and qualifying myself shortly after the 1 year period. I’m self-taught, having paid over £4000 in education and still educating myself to this day. I’ve worked in a handful of barbershops over the years with the end goal of having my own shop. Since achieving this goal I want to help others in my local area grow and to reach their potential as I have. With goals to bridge the gap of education between college and the shop standard, having links and being the first point of contact for everything educator-wise in Gloucester & Cheltenham College covering everything barbering. Graduating high school in 2009, I acquired my first pair of clippers, igniting a passion that became my lifeline and sanctuary.
My instructor shared that with me at the most opportune time, where that is all I had to hold on to was God and my clippers. That has not changed for me - my God and my clippers have sent me down a road of growth and prosperity in all aspects of life. Within a road of growth, God blessed me with an amazing wife and kiddos who keep me going every day. I’m Marie Rainsford a barber/stylist from Limerick Ireland, I am also the Leading Educator for the OP45 UK Team. I started my career at the very young age of 15 in my mom’s friend’s hair salon while still at school, working in that salon you just got stuck in and learned quickly, which I loved. I realized young that this was the industry I would be in, I liked being around people, and doing trade and getting creative was an outlet for me and my job. I was hairdressing for about 10 years and went travelling Australia where I found my love for barbering and ran with it from there. I also went to Canada a little while after and did a short apprenticeship in a traditional shop to up my skills in traditional barbering and shaving. I think my discipline and work ethic come a lot from my parents but also from playing sports at a county level growing up. I still love to play and will do it for as long as I can.

Hey, I’m Adam Haider commonly known as ‘H’ within the barbering and hairdressing industry. Ever since young age cutting hair fascinated me as it seemed, had a very detailed eye. I first picked up scissors at the age of 14 cutting my father’s and friends’ hair, soon I found out the passion for it was in my blood and continued with enrolling for a hairdressing course at the college and helping on weekends in a local salon. The love for hairdressing continued throughout my college and university years, as I finished my degrees in interior design and art. Soon after graduating, I started a job within the studied subjects, but cutting hair remained with me as a part-time job on weekends. Eventually, I decided to go full-time into cutting hair and worked for a local salon. I enjoyed working so much that I would do extra hours and after a few years I had a chance to buy it from the current owner, this is where my hair journey got more adventurous! Bella Barba Co was born and established in 2009 in a small salon in Worcestershire. After years of hard work, and dedication to many shows, exhibitions, and stage workshops it became so popular that I decided to expand and move to a bigger premises. A year later I opened further two salons and built my small barbershop empire.
