Aloha friend! My name is Penny Fuimaono and I'm on the pursuit to living a more healthy life with no regrets! How you may ask!? It's simple really.

As a plus size woman I already have a hard enough time as it is finding clothing that fits, and dont even get me started on activewear... it was just non existent in my world because not only am I plus size, I'm 6ft 2inches tall. One day a good friend of mine introduced me to ZYIA Active and I was instantly hooked. Not only did the leggings actually FIT for the first time, but while I tested them

during a workout.. THEY DIDN'T FALL! AND WERE SO COMFORTABLE THROUGHOUT MY ENTIRE WORKOUT! People, people, people.. this brand nailed it with the quality, comfort, breatheability, function, compression, style, and above all... PRICE of the products. I took a leap, became a rep, and not once have regretted that decision! I'm a simple woman with simple style, and ZYIA couldn't have made it easier for me. REAL TALK: I haven’t been to the gym in a week. Why? I can’t really answer that with anything more than pure laziness. A whole week of sulking & seeing people on social media workout that I legit made myself feel unmotivated & slobbish. The worst part... is that I literally let myself just sit and watch other people do what I needed to be doing, because I told myself, “what’s the point. I’ll never look like her.” Pictures like the one you see above are usually happy, fun, & aesthetically pleasing. One might even say unrealistic. But here’s the problem... things aren’t always as they seem. We told these women to look at each other, laugh, and hug. They did it & we captured the moment. As a photographer I see nothing wrong with that because I want to invoke a certain perception of my brand. HOWEVER, whether you know the truth behind what you see or not, don’t let it negatively effect your life. We actually did have a lot of fun on this shoot because we’re actually all really close friends. Sounds so cliche, but stop comparing. Start living. Learned a huge lesson & back to the gym I go

I named this company after the question I used to asked myself,”where do I fit in the world... where’s my place?” Little did I know that I wasn’t alone. In fact, I was shocked to find that most of the people around me were asking themselves that exact same question. Flawed & unrehearsed, I’m slowly discovering my place & I’ll gladly bring you along with me. I hope no one here ever feels left out. Remember, being different is the oxygen our society needs to breath in. Accept it, embrace it.

Cause and effect in the fashion industry is widely misunderstood. I can’t stop fast fashion, but I can promote awareness. In my shop I refuse to carry cheaply made clothing. We as consumers need to change our perspective & understand that constant disposing of clothing harms communities that have to live amongst the textile waste. So you may feel good about donating your clothing when really only about 10% of all clothing donations actual stay in the U.S. The fashion industry is pumping out new styles on a daily basis and at this rate somethings gotta give and it’s not worth someone’s life. SOOO... buy quality, buy longevity, & buy classics.

I’ve worn men’s clothes pretty much my whole life. Not complaining, they were comfortable. But I had to wear them because that was all the fit. Now just imagine what the would have been like for a teenage girl. It was rough haha. But that was a long time ago when plus-size everything looked like someone’s curtains from the 80s😏 My shop may be small now but I’m looking to expand on things that will appeal to my group of women that are actually STYLISH & hopefully to the teens too so they don’t have to suffer like I did hahaha. Just a quick post to say thanks for being on this journey with me & counting! And I can’t wait for you to see what I’ve got coming out next year!!

What I love most about this photo is that it’s a real woman. Natural curves, natural hair, no fake tans... just outside feelin the air & being 100% herself. I love what I do because I get to spend time with people like Tasha, so worth it.
