We used to do practically everything together. We had the same friends. We shared similar hobbies, which often led to us exercising together. Evenings and late nights were spent going on walks, or snuggling and watching a movie. We spent our Saturdays filming weddings together. And our Sundays sleeping in and eating brunch. We read the same books (I read. Naz listened šŸ˜‚) Many weekdays were spent editing side by side. We vacationed together and ate our meals together. We went to sleep and woke up at the same time. Our life and relationship were built on spending as much time together as possible, and loving it.

A lot of our togetherness began to shift after having our first daughter. Then, after our second, itā€™s becomeā€¦.sparse.

We pass kids back and forth. We see one another in passing. We take office hours in shifts. Our exercise, friendship, recreation, and work have all become separate. Often even sleep no longer coincides.

We are better, together. So navigating this season of separateness has really thrown us for a loop. Amidst all the challenges of having little kids, running a business thatā€™s never the same 2 days in a row, and moving, itā€™s the lack of togetherness that stands out the most.

Weā€™re a work in progress. We have not figured it out. Itā€™s been really, really hard.

Itā€™s not a glamorous season, but it certainly is a refining one.

Twelve years in.
Our promise was to choose one another and fight for us - in sickness and in health. In good times and bad.

We both have many days we arenā€™t at our best.

But the resounding ā€œI choose youā€ amidst the highest of highs, AND the low lows -
Getting to know one another all over again as we evolve and change.
Showing up, pressing in, and choosing to love, even amidst our rough edges that feel unlovableā€¦

Well, thatā€™s marriage.

After a dozen years: the bad, poor and sick arenā€™t hypothetical anymore.

But the power, freedom and love experienced amidst walking through the dark valleys and not giving up on each other is.. perhaps the ultimate gift in this life.

Mountain highs, or valleys low, at your best, and worst, I love you. And I still choose you. Today and forever.

Happy anniversary šŸ’›

Weā€™ve officially reached the life season where vacation is no longer ā€œvacationā€, but instead, a family trip where you take care of your kids in another location. And DANG is that a lot of work. We came back not quite rested and rejuvenated, but with hearts full and lots of fun family memories.

Weā€™re continually navigating how different life looks in this season, particularly with adjusting our expectations .. like how it takes exponentially longer to do anything at all, and even after all the work, sometimes you donā€™t even end up doing the thing for which you did all of that hard work šŸ˜‚

We took a little family date trip for smoothie bowls and then tried to take a walk through the picturesque area. Que an exhausted toddler meltdown smack dab in the center of the town square. This led to a frantic and stressed out return to our car. Our hopes for a walk evolved into a drive around town with our two sleepy girls. While it wasnā€™t what I wanted, it did provide a few minutes of some adult conversation which is rare to come by these days.

So many resounding kudos to everyone out there raising little people. We know deep in our souls.. ā€œthese are the daysā€ šŸ˜‚ But boy can they break you down!

We stayed at Seacrest Beach near Destin, FL with my family, and were blown away. It might just be our favorite beach weā€™ve been to!

Whatā€™s your favorite family beach?

The Dorosh famā€™s big day out! We had a great time cheering for Pittā€™s basketball team. Liberty was more into Roc - the panther mascot, the ā€œdancers ā€œ, and the ice cream šŸ˜‚
It was a huge accomplishment getting us all out the door. Planning to leave 1.5 hours early got us there just after the game started šŸ˜‚

Romance. Itā€™s almost a comical notion these days. We are ships in the night, ghosts in the day. Our paths criss cross in between the feeding and caring for our little ones, running our business, and managing the chaos.

The days of fancy dinner dates, spontaneous getaways, and snuggly movie nights seem a distant mirage in this season.

At times it certainly *feels* like the romance is dead. Especially as social media portrays glamorous holiday celebrations, and extravagant getaways. Adventures we once enjoyed ourselves, but now canā€™t foresee on the horizon of our future.

We both know the romance hasnā€™t actually died. Itā€™s just taken on a new look and definition for awhile. A makeover of sorts. It certainly isnā€™t as flashy. It definitely isnā€™t Instagram worthy.

These days; romance is being quick to apologize for the short fuse. And even quicker to forgive the lack of sleep induced meltdowns.

Itā€™s changing a diaper without being asked. Or getting a glass of water, or making food, or doing some dishesā€¦ pretty much doing anything without being asked.

Itā€™s a hug in passing. And a reminder that youā€™re doing a great job.

Itā€™s watching them share their tenderness once kept just for you with the little person you two created.

Itā€™s coming home from work exhausted, but still taking out the trash (including the diaper pail, IYKYK).

Itā€™s a stolen glance from across the room, whilst each consoling a screaming child, knowing eyes meeting for just a second - assurance that we are in this together.

Romance will inevitably look different as seasons change. Yet making an effort to love each other, even amidst the most unglamorous times, may just be the most romantic of all.

SHE is here! šŸ„° We were SHOCKED as I was soooo sure we were having a boy. (And many of you thought so too!)

Emerson Caroline šŸ’› Our brave, powerful, free woman. Born 12/1/22 (so excited about these birthday dates!)

Feeling especially thankful for this guy, and for capturing this sacred season for us. šŸ’›

Itā€™s been a wild ride navigating running a business and raising a family, but we are infinitely grateful to do it together. And for grace upon grace with the learning curve as we strive to find balance (does that exist?).

And mostly - we are thankful for those of you who invite us into one of the most important days of your life and trust us to tell your stories. We wouldnā€™t be here without you, and we will never forget that. šŸ’›

Now we are just editing like crazy until this little one makes their debut. Do you think Liberty is going to have a little brother, or a little sister?

When you're in your late twenties and all of your friends are on dating apps, what do you do? Create your own dating profile of course! And that is exactly what Jaclynn did. She then showed her new profile to her best friend, Katie, to get her feedback.

Katie noted that the photos were beautiful, of course! However, Jackie's answers to the prompts were...very straightforward and matter of fact.

What is your typical activity after work? running.
What is your favorite food? Margs and tacos.
Hobbies? running marathons LOL.

Katie took her phone, selected new prompts and edited the answers to be a little more personable. Just hours later, Jackie shared with her that she got a like from a guy named Zac and they were chatting!

If you recall Jackie's dating profile, she really likes to run. Well - it's important to note that she doesn't just run marathons, she wins marathons. And she found a man that can keep up (which is saying a lot!).

As it turns out, Zac had every quality and more that Jackie had been praying for in a partner. These two brilliant, beautiful, kind hearted, wonderful people were literally perfect for one another.

These two officially became husband and wife on a dreamy August day. Wanderlust brought Jackie's light, airy, and romantic wedding dreams to life. Think twinkle lights, an abundance of light, lovely and large florals everywhere, and lots of pink! :) Not only was everything absolutely beautiful, it was also upbeat, and so much fun! Not to mention that these two were married by Zac's father!

We cannot get enough of these accomplished, exquisite newlyweds, and know you will share the sentiment. A resounding congratulations to Dr. & Dr. Kuchta!

ā€œLife is 10% what happens to us, and 90% how we respond.ā€

Nazari manifests these words like no one I have ever seen.

If you know this guy at all, you likely know of him as the happy go lucky, positive, hype man, smile always on, glass overflowing guy that he is.

It may seem he is that way due to genetic disposition, luck, or favor. He loves his life and work and family. Indeed, he is blessed.

But like anyone, his work, marriage, and life is not always a walk in the park. He has rough days. And truth be told, itā€™s been a really challenging season. Heā€™s been faced with a lot of adversity and tremendous loss.

Yet through it all, he has exemplified that life is what we make of it. That we have a choice in how we respond to people and less than ideal situations.

He never lost his work ethic, even when he lost most of his work.

Then, as work has returned in full force, sometimes clocking in 70-100 hours in a week, he still comes home, all in, to help out, and be the most present, engaging father - 2 hour bedtime struggles and all.

Life has thrown some curveballs his way, but even his smile has (mostly) remained.

Never have I have witnessed such perseverance, grace, grit, resilience, and mental strength.

He makes everything around him better, because he chooses too.

He sees the best in everyone because he chooses too.

He has a short term memory and doesnā€™t hold grudges, because (waitā€¦ Iā€™m not sure this one is a choice šŸ˜‰)

He has steadfast, unwavering faith because he chooses too.

He is the most loyal, loving, gracious and fun husband and father, because every day, he chooses that.

Iā€™m forever pinching myself that a choice he made in life was to marry me. And Iā€™m continually praying his perspective rubs off on me.

Happy 35th birthday to our hero, our rock, our everything. You are so loved, Nazari Megatron!

We had a quick family trip to KY this weekend to see our nephew get married! We love filming weddings, but it also makes being a guest extra special šŸ„°

For most every trip, I do all the packing. But since this was just a quick overnight, Nazari specifically told me that I didnā€™t need to grab anything for him. I confirmed that he was absolutely sure and he replied that because he didnā€™t need much, he would get it himself.

We left early Saturday morning for the six hour drive with plans to go straight the ceremony.
45 minutes out, we stopped for gas and planned to change into our wedding attire. Nazari looked at me a little panicked and said, ā€œLis, did you grab my suit??ā€

Since he specifically instructed me not to, I did not have his suitā€¦.

šŸ™ƒ Thankfully, we have a nephew that is built similarly and came in clutch letting Naz borrow a suit last minute that both fit, and looked quite sharp!

When creating wedding films, and in everyday life, we care deeply about words spoken. They carry such weight and meaning and power. Sharing how we feel and telling stories are two of the greatest parts of life. Effective communication is a true art. And maybe a skill? And if so, Neil and Rachel are expert level.

On the day of their wedding day, it had been 3 years, 2 months and 25 days since Neil first sat down beside Rachel for Statistical Decision Making in grad school at Carnegie Mellon University. He summoned up the courage to ask her on a date. She agreed to drinks, thinking it was casual and would be a one time thing. How mistaken she was. Their conversation that night lasted for hours, and has continued ever since. This past April, they committed to continuing that conversation for a lifetime.

While becoming husband and wife, these two wanted their day to be a true representation of who they are as a couple. Rachelā€™s a little shy, while Neil is as outgoing as they come, so their wedding day was the perfect blend of understated and true PARTY. In the words of the groom, "ā€œA classy affair, with a ratchet side. Iā€™m not a regular wedding; Iā€™m a cool wedding.ā€

These two took bets on who would cry first, and had to flip a coin to decide who would go first with their vows. Rachel lost (or won?). We are so excited for you to get to hear just a snippet of the words they shared with one another, because, WOW. Between that, their officiant (who was one of their professors at CMU!), and the speeches at their reception, we were in Heaven.

Neil and Rachel chose Heinz Chapel (where Rachel's parents had gotten married 40 years prior!) and Phipps for this once in a lifetime occasion. Given the wild and unpredictable weather on their special day, including a surprise hail storm in April, they couldn't have chosen a better venue. They took the idyllic backdrop of the botanic garden and added their own vision and personal touches to create a lush, romantic vibe.

Without further ado, enjoy getting lost in this novel worthy love story between two unparalleled, exceptional people. Congratulations to The Gunns!

This past weekend, Ali and JT said their I Doā€™s at Nemacolin in what was the weekend celebration of a lifetime!

These two met via mutual friends. When they first locked eyes, they both instantly knew each other was *the* one.

The spark they share lights up the world, like the fireworks show lit up the sky the night of their wedding.

These two envisioned a Tuscan-Inspired, grand, woodlands style wedding, and their vendor team delivered all that and more.

Here is a teaser into their exquisite event and love story that youā€™ll have to see to believe. Congratulations to the newlyweds, Ali & JT Hodil!!

Feeling so grateful for a couple weeks away on a progressive getaway: CO, TX AND FL - soaking in time with some of our favorite people and getting some serious sunshine!

Four long flights and constant travel with an 18 month old ā€¦ letā€™s just say plane rides arenā€™t what they used to be. But Liberty was a champ, and we will be forever grateful for this special time with fam and friends.

Feeling super excited to officially dive into wedding season on FRIDAY! So many amazing love stories coming your way šŸ’›
