Please take extra precautions tonight to make sure your dogs are as safe and secure as possible as the festivities commence. Fireworks can cause weird reactions with them, even if they've never displayed them before. Mac in the final 2 years of his life would have nuclear panic attacks, whereas in the previous 7 years, he never reacted at all.

Loving the new job, but for the first couple of weeks, I'm working a shift that leaves very little time to catch up with content. And while I know most of you will tell me to do what I need to do, in the wise words of Ozzy and Lemmy "Kicking back don't make it"

I'm working on figuring it all out, staying up way too late, and learning an entirely new industry, I want it to be as seamless as possible and I refuse to allow the output to slip. If you wanna help out, hit me here with ideas for video subjects (Note: if you want to see me talk with smaller bands I have a whole podcast for that) and tell me your favorite stories about rock music's greatest.

As I've gone through the years of making these videos, I've (hopefully) gotten a lot better at them. There are a few major stories that I burned in the earlier days that I think I may take a crack at again in the current style.

I wanted to wait until I knew for sure, but I officially start at my new job on Tuesday. It's definitely a relief being able to not only restore some stability to my life but I'm ultimately going to end up with substantially more positives with this new job than I had with my previous one.

Content should remain mostly unaffected. The only difference is that I'll be exhausted putting a 40-hour week in one job and a 50-hour week into the content at the same time. All of it is happening at the most dire time though, and hopefully, I'll be able to pull myself up above water for the first time in months.

Workplace Vibe Check is in place for this upcoming interview tomorrow. I'll be dressing well and cleaned up but I'll be wearing a visible Motörhead t-shirt. If that is a negative to them then it's not going to work out for me anyway.

Edit: I've been working in a shop, alone and free to do and dress as I wish as long as my work was done and done well for 11 years. I can't really think of any other way to find that in a new place outside of showing up as me.

My Mother has been my single biggest supporter of me no matter where it was my ambition was taking me. To this day, she likes every video (long and short), brags about my little achievements as if I've taken over the world, and is always there to help me keep from falling off the edge that I stupidly continue to stumble toward.

Happy Mother's Day to all 4 of you ladies. I have Doc and Sarge which is basically the exact same thing 😏

There's a point in every production cycle for my long-form videos where I think "This video is awful and no one is going to understand it because I'm an idiot". And then as I edit it and put it together I go "Oh, nvm this one is actually pretty dope".

Happens every time.

tl;dr - Sarge has helped Doc lose all of his trauma behaviors above and beyond my hopes.

When I got Sarge, one of the big reasons was for Doc to have a companion who could speak his language and who would look up to him for guidance. What astonished me was how quickly Sarge was able to help Doc lose nearly all of his trauma behaviors.

You wouldn't even know that Doc has been through anything traumatic if you met him. When we adopted him, he had no idea how to be a dog. He was wary of every treat, even if it was a beautiful bleeding steak, and human contact was the only thing he appeared to be drawn to. He had no idea how to give kisses, which is something Sarge has done since the day we brought him home.

He still doesn't know how to do them like a normal dog and instead gives "people kisses" where he stretches his neck up to you for them. I love it so much.

Doc has done most of the training for us for Sarge and he's adopted all of Doc's best qualities, like not barking at people and being welcoming to all humans. What a wild success this was and is and I love both of them so much.
