David Sykut, a Pittsburgh based recording, mixing, and mastering engineer, has built an active and successful career since falling in love with the recording studio at Duquesne University’s School of Music. He’s enjoyed working with top local and national acts spanning a range of genres, including classical, chamber, orchestral, and beyond. His recordings have been heard on WQED-FM, Pittsburgh, an

d a number of recording labels, featuring artist like Apollo’s Fire, Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh, and members of the esteemed Pittsburgh Philharmonic, to name a few. David has collaborated with leading jazz artists including Lisa Ferraro, Harold Betters, Elevations, and some exceptional seasons of The Westmoreland Jazz Society. Equally at home in rock and blues, he’s served as producer and engineer for the likes of Tyler Stacy, Dante Romito, and Paolo Schianchi. David is making waves as a sound designer, lecturer, and host of industry panels and masterclasses. He’s endorsed by Rupert Neve Designs, sE Electronics, Telefunken USA, and Aston Microphones, and frequently serves as a clinician and consultant on new products.

David Sykut, is a Pittsburgh audio engineer, production manager, and music technology educator.

His recordings have been heard on WQED-FM, Pittsburgh, and a number of recording labels, featuring artist like Apollo’s Fire, Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh, Becky Billock. and members of the esteemed Pittsburgh Philharmonic. Equally at home in rock and blues, he’s served as producer and engineer for the likes of Tyler Stacy, Dante Romito, and Paolo Schianchi, Working Breed, DiGreggorio, Jack's Shadow, and Brewer's Row, Slam Band Sam, and Nevada Color.

David has forged close partnerships with industry leaders such as Rupert Neve Designs, Grace Designs, sE Electronics, Earthworks, Telefunken USA, and Aston Microphones.
