Our Summer Festival starts tonight 7:30p at First Baptist Church OKC with a world premiere of Zoe Bosin’s “Freshwater Pearls.” Our following concerts are Tuesday and Thursday nights (also 7:30p) and Sunday afternoon at 4:30p.

Our final regular season concert features music of the Romantic era: Fauré, Rachmaninoff, and Dvořák. Tuesday, April 30 7:30 pm at First Baptist Church OKC. And stay tuned for our Summer Festival June 17-23.

Congratulations to Dr. Edward Knight, whose oratorio OF PERPETUAL SOLACE tied for second in the 2021-22 Major Choral Works Division of The American Prize! The 45-minute work, with lyrics and libretto by MJ Alexander, was commissioned and performed by Canterbury Voices under the baton of Dr. Randi Ellefson. The May 2021 hybrid live-and-taped world premiere @ Civic Center Music Hall was presented in memoriam of the 25th anniversary of the Murrah Building bombing, in partnership with the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. The world premeire event also featured alumna Lisa Reagan Love as soloist; Canterbury Youth Voices, directed by alumnus Stephen Ziegler; and the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. Bravi tutti!

It was fantastic to have the opportunity to audio record this great performance for broadcast on KUCO.

Performance Oklahoma presents Canterbury Voices in Messiah this week, the society joined by the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and guest soloists soprano Kelly Holst, mezzo-soprano Courtney Crouse, tenor Steve Sanders and bass Mark McCrory with artistic director Randi von Ellefson conducting! Wednesday evening at 8pm (12-15-21); Saturday morning at 8am!

To fully realize the vision for the world premiere 'Of Perpetual Solace', we enlisted the expertise of Norman brothers Matt and Patrick Horton.

Longtime Canterbury Audio Engineer Matt Horton has been recording in Oklahoma since 1990, and runs AVPro Studios, LLC, specializing in audio and video production. Video Engineer Patrick Horton has worked in video production since 1991, and runs Horton Productions, specializing in video production. Both were instrumental in the creation of this monumental production.
