What's next for Simone Biles? Kids with Jonathan Owens, rivaling Taylor Swift as NFL's most-famous WAG - or a potential run at the LA 2028 Olympics
The comeback has been completed, redemption has been achieved, and gold has been tasted once again by the greatest gymnast of her generation - if not definitively the greatest to ever step foot on the mat.

Now, the next question for Simone Biles is a complex one: what's next?

It's not like Biles needs to prove herself to anyone. With 30 World Championship medals and 11 Olympic medals - seven of which are Olympic gold - she's already the most decorated gymnast of all time.

But now that the women's artistic gymnastics competition is done - and the Paris Olympics are winding down - questions about Biles future will doubtless pop up.

Could we have seen the last of the greatest gymnast ever on the Olympic stage? And if so, what could be in store for her in the future?
Biles return was nothing short of near perfection as she returned to the mat after attempting to bow out gracefully in Tokyo just three years prior.

Taking some time to focus on her mental health battle with 'the twisties', Biles competed in just the balance beam in Japan - winning bronze. She also took home a silver medal for the team event that she did not take part in.

It was a long road for her to get comfortable with competing in gymnastics once again, but eventually she traveled that journey and came back to the Olympic stage once again.

Her performance in Paris was a tour de force. Not only did she lead the United States to a victory in the team all-around, but she re-claimed her title as the best gymnast at these Olympic games in the individual all-around event.

Add to that a gold in the vault and a silver in the floor exercise and it was a four-medal haul for the gymnast from Texas.

It was an emotion-filled Olympics for Biles - especially considering everything that she had been through.

'Yesterday, when we got back to the village, I looked at Jordan [Chiles] and I started balling my eyes out,' Biles said on the 'TODAY' Show on Tuesday. 'She was like, ''I knew it was going to happen, I just didn't know when.'' I was just full of emotion and I finally released all of that.'

Biles then clarified: 'I was so proud, happy, and bittersweet that the journey is over. It's so crazy, it happened so quick. My third Olympics.'
Immediately up next for her is a 30 city arena tour where Biles and a number of American gymnasts will put on an exhibition for the United States.

The 'Gold Over America Tour' will feature Biles alongside teammates Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles as well as 'pommel horse specialist' Stephen Nedoroscik and other gymnasts.

That tour begins in September and ends in early November - with Biles on the road for seven Sundays.

It may not have mattered before her marriage, but now that she's wed to an NFL player, that means Biles won't be able to see her husband Jonathan Owens play for the Chicago Bears for some time.

Owens is currently in training camp with the Bears after taking some time away from the team to watch Biles compete at the Olympics.

'He was so excited,' Biles said of her husband's experience cheering her on in France. 'He loved going to see me compete, he was still keeping score.

'It meant the world to him - he has seen the amount of hours that I put in, so he was so excited to be there.'

Biles and Owens could have their eyes set on becoming another NFL power couple - possibly in a similar vein to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift - but that's hard to tell.
Then there's the question about children. Biles says that she and her husband have been talking about having them and that the idea of raising a family is on their minds.

'Yes, me and Jonathan always talk about kids. He would have had them yesterday if he could have. But yes, definitely [thinking about a family],' she said on the TODAY show.

Despite their parents' sporting background, Owens says any potential children of theirs would not face any pressure in getting into sports.

'If that's what they want to do, I'm not going to try to force anything on them,' Owens told People Magazine.

'Obviously they're going to know what their parents did, so that'll be just something cool for them to look at and for us to be able to relive those stories and memories with them.'

'And she's big on taking pictures and we'll have stuff framed up for them,' he adds of Biles.

'But honestly, whatever they want to do, I'll just support them a hundred percent. I don't want to force 'em and make it feel like you have to do this because we did. That does generally work out for kids.'
For all the talk around what she could be doing next, Biles has been playing coy.

With the next Summer Olympics set to be held on home soil in 2028, there's plenty who wonder if Biles would try to take to the mat again.

'Never say never,' Biles said last Saturday. 'The next Olympics is at home, so you just never know. But I am getting really old.'

She repeated a similar answer earlier this week on the Today Show, saying, 'You know, you never say never.

'The next Olympics is on home turf, so you just never know. I'm just going to relax and see where life takes me.'

She also hit out at people on social media for trying to pry an answer out of her, writing, 'You guys really gotta stop asking athletes what's next after they win a medal at the Olympics.

'Let us soak up the moment we've worked our whole lives for.'

Well, it's been about four days since she finished up competition in the balance beam and on the floor - so there's been at least some time for her to 'soak up the moment'.

But if she did make an appearance at the upcoming 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, it would be unprecedented.

Biles would be 31 when it happens - meaning she'd be practically ancient by gymnastics standards.

Athletes competing at the Olympics are typically between their teenage years and their early 20's.

The fact that Biles competed at age 27 is already shocking, let alone at age 31.

It would only be a matter of speculation to suggest what level of competition that Biles would be at - let alone if she would make an Olympic team.

But if she wanted to head to Los Angeles, her longevity would only add to her legend as one of the greatest to ever do it.

NFL fans claim Simone Biles 'should be STRIPPED of all her medals' for major wardrobe blunder as Olympic gymnast cheers on husband Jonathan Owens
curred the wrath of NFL fans with her fashion choices Saturday as she watched her Chicago Bears husband, Jonathan Owens, suit up.

Fresh off dazzling the crowds in Paris with three gold medals and one silver, the Olympic gymnast caught some NFL preseason action as she cheered on her beau at the Bears' game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

However, eagle-eyed NFL fans were left enraged as the 27-year-old committed a football fashion faux pas.

Standing on the sidelines at Soldier Field, the Olympic legend was spotted wearing an oversized jacket with photos of her NFL husband printed in black and white.

However, the various snaps featured Owens in action for the Green Bay Packers - the Bears' longstanding rivals and his former team. To make matters worse, a large Packers logo stood out on the shoulder pad.
As she strolled the sidelines, Biles was also sporting a protective boot on her left foot from a calf injury she endured at the Olympics. She topped off the look with a pair of reflective silver shades, a black Prada bucket hat and a Balenciaga purse.

Despite her attempts to make a touching and supportive gesture towards Owens, Biles found herself wading into one of the league's fiercest rivalries and fans were far from impressed.

'Simone Biles should be stripped of all her medals after wearing Packers gear while cheering for the Bears,' one social media user posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

'Yeah yeah I get it, her husband played for the packers and it’s an Owens themed jacket, but this is just wrong.'

Others echoed the sentiment, questioning Biles' seemingly oblivious football knowledge.
'With all due respect, Simone Biles gotta throw that jacket in the trash ASAP,' another claimed. 'How did she get in with that?'

'She’s obviously supporting her husband Jonathan Owens and she’s one of the greatest Olympians so she gets a pass…but it’s still one of the oldest rivalries in all of football & she’s rocking logos lol,' posted The Athletic's Chase Daniel.

'Release her hubby now!' one particularly furious Bears fan chimed in, while another added, 'It’s ridiculously unaware of your surroundings and insulting to her husband.
Owens played one season in Green Bay last year before making the move down Lake Michigan to Chicago earlier this year.

As his other half geared up for her quest for gold in Paris, the safety agreed a two-year deal with the Bears believed to be worth $4.5million in March.

The gymnast appeared elated with her partner's move, celebrating the deal in a series of tweets.

'CHICAGO HERE HE COMES', she posted before appearing to reveal that she does not plan to make the permanent move with her man.

'I'm so excited about not having a connecting flight to go and see my husband hahahaha', she wrote in a follow-up message.

However, despite her initial joy, amid decorating herself with more Olympic medals, it seems Biles has not had time to update her game-day wardrobe.

Owens appears to have settled into his new NFL chapter in Chicago with the franchise even allowing him five days off from preseason training so he could make the journey to Paris to watch his wife at the Olympics.
Owens and Biles met on the celebrity dating app Raya in 2020, when she was already a four-time Olympic gold medalist and considered one of the greatest gymnasts of all-time.

Biles and Owens got engaged in 2022 and were married last April.

Owens came under fire late last year for admitting he did not know who Biles was before the pair met.

The backlash for Owens was so heavy that Biles had to interfere by posting on her Instagram story 'STOP BRINGING ME UP' followed by 14 laughing-face emojis and concluded with 'work on that for the new year'.

The case for Caitlin Clark’s value
According to fox studio radio, "Steve Hartman is adamant that Caitlin Clark is the WNBA's most valuable player. His argument centers on her ability to draw crowds and generate revenue, which he believes are the ultimate measures of a player's value to the league.
“If you’re actually talking about who is the most ‘valuable’ player in the WNBA, it should unanimously be Caitlin Clark because she puts butts in seats,” Hartman asserts. He acknowledges that being the most valuable doesn’t necessarily mean being the best player but emphasizes the financial and attendance boost she brings.
Hartman points to the substantial ratings and attendance figures for Fever games as evidence. Clark’s games are consistently breaking TV viewership records and filling arenas, something that was rare before her arrival. Hartman argues that the mere presence of Clark has given the WNBA an unprecedented opportunity for exposure and growth. He believes that Clark’s popularity has created a buzz around the league that wasn’t there before, effectively making her the most valuable asset the WNBA has.

Caitlin Clark reveals she asked to be taken out of latest WNBA game after just SIX MINUTES - because she was exhausted after summer break
A return to the court for Caitlin Clark led to the Indiana Fever star getting winded early on in the game after taking some time away from basketball.

Clark had been playing the game seemingly non-stop since last November after starting her final year of college with Iowa, then promptly getting drafted and beginning her WNBA career.

By not being included in the Olympic team, Clark was able to get a much needed break - but it also took her a bit out of her rhythm that left her tired after just a few minutes.

That's what she told reporters in the aftermath of Friday night's 98-89 win over the Phoenix Mercury.

'I called for a sub six minutes in, if I'm being honest,' Clark said with a laugh. 'I was like, Holy cow. I think it was around seven minutes in. I called for a sub. I was like, "I need a quick minute here."
Because we were playing fast and then my defense isn't as good. It's a liability for my team. Just got to get a second to breathe.'

Despite her early exhaustion, Clark says that maintaining her game readiness has relatively gone well.

'Getting back in game shape has been, I think, pretty easy,' Clark shared. 'We've been competing really hard in practice and playing versus our guys live. We've had refs come in. Basically I think five separate different times we've been playing live.

'We've just been scrimmaging. That's the best way to stay in basketball shape is just play live basketball, but obviously, it's going to be really hard to replicate a real game. So it felt good to get back out there.'

Clark put on a show for the home fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse with a 29 point, ten assist performance that dazzled and delighted.

She shot an efficient 8-of-16 from the field while going 4-for-11 from beyond the arc.

Caitlin Clark breaks silence on prospect of her joining Angel Reese in new basketball league backed by Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan and other stars
ever basketball star Caitlin Clark has broken her silence on the thought of joining Angel Reese in the new women's basketball league, Unrivaled.

To give WNBA players the chance to make enough money in the offseason to not have to play in overseas leagues, 30 basketball players will partake in Unrivaled, a 3x3 league with six teams.

All teams will be based in Miami and some of the biggest league stars will participate including Reese, Kelsey Plum, and Jewell Lloyd. The league even reached an NIL deal with UConn's Paige Bueckers to participate.

Clark did not deny wanting to play in the league, but also did not commit when asked about it on Tuesday.

'Honestly I’m just focused on this right now. One thing at a time. Can’t always just be moving on to the next. My focus is right here,' Clark said
The league is reportedly offering an average salary of $250,000 to participating players, more than $100,000 higher than the average WNBA salary.

Many of the WNBA's biggest stars have gone to play in overseas leagues during the offseason to make more money, as the W's top players make around that $250,000 per season amount.

A large number of famous athletes have financially backed the league founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. They include Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Carmelo Anthony, and Steve Nash
Clark's focus is on the WNBA, which resumes play after the Olympic break this week.

The Fever have two games this weekend, both at home. On Friday, the Fever take on the Phoenix Mercury, and on Sunday, Indiana hosts the Seattle Storm.

Clark has led a revival of the Fever, who sit at 11-15, but are in seventh place in the WNBA standings, good enough for a playoff position.

• WNBA Countdown is averaging 741,000 viewers, a 211% increase from last year's full season average.

Caitlin Clark autographs two-week old baby wearing adorable Indiana Fever onesie: 'So cute'
Caitlin Clark has a very young fan base.

The Indiana Fever star, who returned to the court this week after the WNBA's Olympics break, was seen autographing a newborn baby at a fan event.

The 22-year-old greeted a new mom who promptly presented her with the infant.

'We have the biggest fan,' the woman said, before revealing her little one was just two weeks old.

Clark looked apprehensive at first when asked if she wanted to hold the bub, however she cradled the bundle of joy and signed their onesie.
Is this the youngest [fan] to get an autograph?' the woman asked.

'I think so,' Clark replied, noting that she once 'signed an ultrasound.'

Clark is quickly cementing herself as a Rookie of the Year contender as she's leading the league with 8.2 assists and 17.1 points.

She has also set several records while helping the Fever climb up the standings.

Away from the court, Clark's presence is clearly impacting her team's bottom line.

Attendance is up 264 percent for the Fever this season as every single available ticket has been sold.

They've also enjoyed a 1,193-percent jump in jersey sales, while the Fever store has seen 700 percent more purchases than one season ago.
The concession stands are enjoying a similar uptick. Not only are hot dog sales up 300 percent, but Hoosiers have bought more than 2,826 gallons of draft beer – a 740-percent jump from 2023.

On social media, the team has gotten more than 800 million page views in the last four months, while adding 1.3 million followers since April 15.

A superstar rookie class, led by Clark and her rival Angel Reese, has given the entire WNBA a huge boost in 2024.

The league inked a new media rights package in July worth about $2.2 billion over 11 years, The Athletic reported at the time.

It nets out to approximately $200 million annually, roughly four times the WNBA’s current media deals with Disney, Ion, CBS and Amazon, which are valued at $50 million annually.

Caitlin Clark has been offered a spot on Dancing with the Stars but is REFUSING to take part despite ABC producers 'bending over backwards' to land her - as insiders reveal OTHER TV shows she's eyeing up
Caitlin Clark is a national sporting superstar who roasted Michael Che when she crashed Saturday Night Live's 'Weekend Update'.

But despite delighting NBC bosses with her first foray into primetime TV, ABC execs are less than enthralled after she 'respectfully declined' their offer to sign up for Dancing with the Stars.

The 22-year-old WNBA star, who was recently selected first overall by the Indiana Fever, is said to have turned down an invitation to appear on this year's season as she plans to dive into 'other opportunities' after her summer on the court.

'Every single offer you could get has been thrown her way,' an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively.

'The producers of Dancing with the Stars have asked Caitlin to take part, but she has respectfully declined.
She is focusing on the WNBA this summer and in the fall when DWTS comes back, Caitlin is going to dive into some other opportunities and chase those goals instead.

'She's not opposed to doing reality shows, but DWTS is not going to be on the table much to the chagrin of ABC, as they really wanted her and would have bent over backward to get her for the show – but it just isn't going to happen.'

They added: 'For Caitlin, if shows like Celebrity Family Feud or Masked Singer came calling, that would be more in her wheelhouse, and she will cross that bridge if presented.'

But bosses aren't going to give up on their hunt for a sporting legend to take to the ballroom this summer.

'Whoever makes a considerable impact during the Olympics will be asked 100 per cent to be a part of the show,' the insider said.

'They have had former Olympians like Simone Biles and Nancy Kerrigan and would love more in the future.

'The chances of the show getting more Olympians is all but a formality and is going to be a guarantee to be a part of the future season.
Caitlin received a thunderous reception when she made a surprise appearance on SNL earlier this month alongside comic Michael, 40, for the 'Weekend Update' segment.

Michael, known to make light of women's sports in his monologues, made a sexist joke about replacing Caitlin's Iowa jersey - which will be retired by the school - with an apron.

It was then that she emerged on stage beside him before questioning why Michael mocks women's sports so frequently - a claim he initially denied.

But Colin Jost, the cohost of the segment and husband of Scarlett Johansson, then played a montage of some of Michael's brutal jokes on women's basketball, to which he added: 'Unlike Che, I support women.'

Before the end of the segment, Michael wished Caitlin luck in the draft, to which she responded: 'I'm sure it will be a big step for me but it's just one step for the WNBA.

Thanks to all the great players like Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, Cynthia Cooper, the great Dawn Staley & my basketball hero Maya Moore.

'These are the women that kicked down the door so I could walk inside. So, I want to thank them tonight for laying the foundation.'

Caitlin's immense success playing college basketball for Iowa has cemented her status as a national superstar after she became the all-time leading scorer (men's or women's) in Division 1 history.

She was selected by the Indiana Fever with the first overall pick in the recent WNBA Draft.

Next month, she is expected to make her WNBA debut - and it's been projected that she will earn up to $500,000 during her rookie season.

It comes after she reportedly signed a four-year, $338,056 deal with the team - an amount that many fans and media members thought was staggeringly low for the NCAA's all-time points leader.

She is also on the cusp of signing a historic eight-year, $28million contract - including a signature shoe - with Nike. The deal would give her the richest sponsorship contract for a women's basketball player.

After it was announced that Caitlin had been drafted by Indiana Pacers, she was targeted by Antonio Brown on social media, with the football player posting a series of vile comments about her.

The former NFL player, who has targeted Tom Brady with provocative posts in the past, caused outrage and offense by saying she 'looks like she keeps it hairy.'

He later returned with more insults, claiming Caitlin will get plastic surgery when her WNBA increases.

He also posted a crass meme referring to her boyfriend before following up with a tweet seemingly addressing the outrage that said: 'Can't be cancelled if you already cancelled.'

Hours later, Antonio said Caitlin should play in the NBA instead of the women's equivalent.

'I'll say it again for the haters,' he wrote. 'Caitlin Clark should be a NBA Draft pick. Draft is weak. She is a generational talent This would be the year.'

Prior to this, Indy Star Sports reporter Gregg Doyel imitated the former Iowa star's celebratory heart-hands gesture before saying: 'Start doing it to me and we'll get along just fine.'

The quip sparked outrage online as Barstool Sports boss Dave Portnoy branded him a 'sexist pervert' - leading Doyel to apologize for the suggestive exchange.

'Today in my uniquely oafish way, while welcoming to Indy, I formed my hands into her signature [hand heart emoji,' Doyel groveled to Twitter on Wednesday.

'My comment afterward was clumsy and awkward. I sincerely apologize. Please know my heart (literally and figuratively) was well-intentioned. I will do better.

Simone Biles posts update on her and Jonathan Owens' new Texas mansion following gymnast's return from Paris Olympics
has shared a glimpse into the ongoing construction of her and Jonathan Owen's home after returning from a terrific Olympic performance in Paris.

The American gymnast captured four medals (three gold) in Paris as she impressed in several different events.

And upon returning to Texas, the 27-year-old proudly showed off how close her and her husband Owens' home is to being completed.

Taking to Instagram stories, Biles shared several shots of her almost-finished house, with much of the kitchen designed with black and white stone.

Biles also showed off pictures of the bathroom, which had tile installed in the shower and also appeared to be nearly complete.
In another stories post, she posted a mirror selfie with her standing in an unfinished room.

Nonetheless, she appears to be enjoying the final stages of the building process as she shared another photo with a heart-eyes emoji and a picture of newly-installed doors.

As mentioned by PEOPLE, Biles and Owens - a defensive back for the NFL's Chicago Bears - first shared a social update of their home construction back in September.

The sports power couple previously shared a selfie of them standing on mud early on in the construction process.

The pair were married the previous April in Houston.
Following her impressive performance in Paris, Biles revealed how her birth grandparents - who adopted her at the age of six - had bought her a gift following the Olympics.

My parents bought me my hermes bag,' she wrote on Threads alongside a love-heart emoji. 'Don’t be mad at me, be mad at your parents'

Biles' birth mother, Shanon, led her to abandon her children, though she has told DailyMail.com in an exclusive relationship that she hopes to rekindle her relationship with her daughter.

Biles' grandparents - Ronald and Nellie - ultimately stepped up to care for the gymnast and her younger sister Adria, bringing them to live with them in Texas.

They, alongside Owens, were in the crowd as won gold in the team all-around competition, the individual all-around and the vault.
