Carpets To Go, with two stores in New Jersey, has focused on giving back to the community with its College Dorm Area Rug Giveaway, held earlier this month. Under the program, Carpets To Go spent about 12 weeks creating 280 rugs that it gave away for free to any college student. The student needed to be present and wearing their college shirt to win. The event happened at both stores. In addition, Carpets To Go gave away rugs to teachers for classrooms.
Glenn Scher, founder and CEO of Carpets To Go, opened the store in the middle of the Great Recession and since that time has grown to the two locations and built a loyal following, with more than 600 five-star Google reviews.
