The Farmer Family
The day I met the Farmer family we were doing an open call for season one of Euphoria in a church basement. It was the end of the day, and we were wrapping up feeling somewhat defeated as there werenβt many βfindingsβ or even attendees, (surprise!) as no one really knew anything about the show yet.
Just as I was leaving, I saw this group of magical children enter the church on their way to collect food from the churchβs donation program. The church was closing so they were focused on getting in just in time. I was mesmerized, I had to talk to them.
Cut to, Zhalia is now starring in Topside which premiered at the Venice Film festival last week! The beauty of the right time, right moment, and worlds colliding. It was our discovery, but the directors Logan and Celine had such passion and dedication, and through their guidance, Zhalia was brought from that church basement to the big screen. It was not easy to say the LEAST.
It is such an honor to be a conduit for someone and hand them off to artists that CARE so much. Congrats to all!
