- NYPD says 65-year-old Asian American (Filipino) woman was walking to church this morning when suspect assaulted her and said “f*** you, you don’t belong here.”

Happened in front of 360 W. 43rd St. 11:40am. Sources say building security guard not only failed to render her aid, he closed the door on the helpless victim. These men need to get fired from their job.
She was punched and kicked causing her to fall. He then kicked her multiple times in the head before fleeing.

Victim is currently hospitalized with swelling to the face, pain in the left leg. The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.

She seeks out unique products by fellow-small business owners to complement her custom kits.

Miguel has a big smile and even bigger plans. Going by the diminutive form of his name, Miguelito is the founder of .co. His company recently launched their first product, Sabon de Filipino, a line of soap bars that expertly combines flavors, flora, fruits, vegetation, and even personally meaningful places into five alluring and transporting scents.

With his grandparents’ Nueva Ecija farm in Central Luzon as his muse, Miguelito’s origin story is cultivated from this piece of earth and its bountiful crops: rice, grains, tubers, an assortment of vegetables, and rich cacao. In time, Miguelito’s will expand into a collection of home essential products of exceptional quality, representing the kind generosity of the Philippine spirit and the beauty of her land.

Newish immigrants to NYC, MJ and Ira co-founded on the premise that pride in Filipino culture can be expressed through food. They’ve partnered with micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) from the Philippines to produce thoughtfully assembled gift boxes. They contain best in class artisanal and small batch snacks, sweets, and top-shelf pantry staples. They also make a point to recognize and celebrate the work of local artists through collectible notecards, enclosed in each Chibundle.

When MJ finds some downtime from running the daily operations, they love learning and mastering the cocktail craft, chronicled in mouthwatering photography on . With a reverence for the slow fashion of local tribes, Paulo showcases the unique diversity of Philippine hand loomed textiles through his urban fashion designs. Accountant by profession, Paulo is a self-taught tailor and designer. His post-pandemic plans include continuing his tour across the US, as ambassador of Philippine fashion and culture through seasonal markets and pop-ups.
