Are we getting tired of the summer weather yet? Even though we have a couple more months of this heat left to go, some hints at hope are on the horizon as our days are getting a tad bit shorter. By next weekend, the sun sets before 8 PM!

Radar Update 12:15 PM- Scattered rain and storms are continuing to move in from the Gulf. Some heavy showers and brief gusty winds are possible at times. Drive carefully this afternoon and Happy Father's Day! #BeOn4

Radar Update 8:45 AM- Steady showers and some storms setting up over the river parishes. More scattered showers and storms will be around SE LA and S MS now through the early evening. #BeOn4

2:55 AM Radar Update: Rain and storms starting to pick up especially for river parishes. We'll be watching these trends all morning. Thankfully the severe risk is now lower this morning, but steady rain may lead to flooding over the next several hours so drive carefully! #BeOn4

Still watching this complex of storms coming out of Texas. It will be weakening a lot by the time it moves towards us. However, a few showers and storms look like they'll be here during the late afternoon, early evening. Friday also brings a chance for showers and storms. #BeOn4

Radar Update 8:40 AM- Rain and storms moving east across the area. Wet and stormy weather will last through the morning into the early afternoon. Heavy rain, lightning, small hail, and brief gusty winds can be in some of these storms. Rain ends by this evening. #BeOn4

RADAR UPDATE 2:20 PM- Some scattered showers are passing through the area. This will continue through the rest of today into early tomorrow with dry breaks in between. Showers end early tomorrow but it'll stay cloudy and get a lot colder and windy tomorrow! Bundle up this weekend! #BeOn4

Rain and thunderstorms early this morning. Big puddles and some ponding on roads this morning so drive carefully if you're headed out soon. All rain should be gone by 10 AM and the rest of today will be dry. #BeOn4

More rain and storms happening for the next couple of hours. Rain should taper off later this afternoon with a foggy and dry night on tap. Even though rainfall totals won't be as big as yesterday, some flooding is still possible, especially over very saturated grounds on the Northshore and river parishes. #BeOn4

Dangerous flooding on parts of the Northshore with some areas seeing over 7'' of rain in St. Tammany Parish. The rain is not over yet, with more moving in from the Gulf straight on top of the same places that have already seen enough rain today. Please avoid flooded roads. #BeOn4

Radar Update 2:30 PM- It's been one soggy Christmas eve so far and the rain will continue through this evening. Showers should wrap up closer to 10 PM tonight. #BeOn4

Radar Update 11:50 AM- Rain approaching our western areas now. Rain will stick around through the early afternoon, but should wrap up heading into the evening hours. #BeOn4

Cloudy start to the day with rain and a couple storms on the way late this morning and lasting through the afternoon hours. Tonight should bring drier weather with a nice, cool, and breezy Sunday on tap. #BeOn4

Radar Update 5:15 AM- It's a soggy start to your Sunday morning with widespread showers! Drive carefully if you'll be out early this morning with some areas of ponding/puddles on the road in parts of the metro area. #BeOn4

RADAR UPDATE 10:15 AM- Cloudy skies and periodic showers happening across the region. Heaviest rain is offshore now, but times of heavier rain are expected for inland spots later today. #BeOn4

RADAR UPDATE 3:05 PM- Scattered rain and storms are dropping into the Northshore and South MS. They're generally moving north to south. Some storms may pop some gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rain. #BeOn4

Radar Check 10:05 AM: Scattered showers and storms continue to pop up across the area. Afternoon storms may bring very heavy rainfall which can lead to isolated street flooding. Always avoid flooded roads and keep the umbrellas handy because the next couple days will also bring the chance for widespread heavy rain and storms! Later this week it'll get a bit drier and hotter. #BeOn4
