Say it Southern Squad, we could not be more excited about introducing you to this incredible woman, Leisha Pickering, the Creator, founder and owner of the Musee Bath Company. We met Leisha a couple of years ago when we did part of our web series at headquarters in Madison, Mississippi and were just blown away by the facility, the product, the mission, and the story behind this incredible company.

This endeavor began after seeing a need for employment in the local community. Leisha had the idea that a quality bath product, made by hand, could provide jobs for individuals. Moreover, she holds a guiding principle that everyone has value and that everyone should be valued - looking at one’s potential, not simply his or her past. Because of this, the Musee Makers are often women in recovery, individuals with disabilities, and others in need of work. It is Musee’s hope to create an environment of self-dignity and a place where people feel loved and encouraged.

From the humble beginnings in her kitchen, Musee quickly established itself in the bath product industry. Currently, Musee is the largest wholesale producer of bath balm in the country with 3,000 partnered stores in all 50 states. Musee has launched soaks, candles, soaps, shower steamers, and lotions with plans for new products in the near future.

Cheers to the weekend!! Here in West Tennessee we are having a mild weather week- perfect for dinner alfresco!
When Laura Park started painting she had no idea that her hobby would turn into a table scape! The paintings turned into patterns and the tabletop and serve ware line are just a fraction of all the beautiful products Laura has produced.

So excited to welcome Laura Park to the POD! Laura is the creative mind behind Laura Park Designs, which has established a cult following since its inception; or really ever since the pillow. You know which one I am talking about. Now, can you even think of a dorm room without her? Laura is SO much more than the perfect patterned pillow, she's artwork, wallpaper, home products, and soon with a collab with her daughter, a clothing line.

We were thrilled to be asked to attend the Rise with Renasant Women’s Summit in Birmingham, Alabama this past week. On Monday night they hosted a meet and greet with us, (flattered) and we were able to mix and mingle with the attendees. We met an amazing group of women and were so honored to be involved, and to be able to share in this time together.

📣 FIRST 2024 GETAWAY SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 !!!Courtney and Sarah are so pleased to bring our good friend, Getaway Alumni, and brilliant businesswoman Lindsay Thomas to Fairhope, Alabama for the 2024 Getaway!

We've watched her business grow immensely since we first met- which we tell the hilarious story about in our podcast this week - from bags, to belts and baubles!

After years of running a successful designer pillow workroom, Lindsay, owner of Garland Bags, had amassed an impressive remnant collection. She was inspired to make a clutch for herself using some of her favorite fabrics, so she researched and tinkered with various methods and materials before completing a satisfactory prototype. Upon sharing a photo of the clutch she created on social media, Lindsay realized that there were quite a few kindred spirits who, like her, appreciated these exceptional textiles beyond their use in the home. Thus, Garland Bags was born.

The story of H**pHill Pharm is such a precious one, and it is an HONOR for Say it Southern to be able to share it with you. Patrick and his family suffered a great loss when his sister, Kelly Nelson Gaffney passed away from Ovarian Cancer. They watched her warrior her battle with cancer for a year, and at the end of her life when the medicines became too much, they desperately search for an alternative to help with managing her pain and quality of life, then began to use h**p, CBD.

Soon Kelly began to improve, gaining some weight back, managing her pain and when she went to Heaven later that year, the Nelsons knew they had to find a way to help others with the use of the natural substance. They began H**p Hill Pharm, Pharmacist formulated CBD products.

H**p Hill Pharm has now been in business for 5 years and is managed and grown by Kelly's brother Patrick in Jackson, Tennessee and has been distributed now in 46 states.

Happy Monday friends! We are so excited to introduce you to our friend Liz McIntyre, the founder of Rise with Renasant, a by women, for women initiative through Renasant Bank. The financial Industry is still a very antiquated industry- from technology, to business, to women in banking. Liz started the Rise Program to support women in both in their own companies, and also in their community.

In a male dominated industry- Liz is ready to shake things up; and so ARE WE! Because Banking aint' just for the boys. ..
