Will you be relocating to a new town this summer? Moving has been ranked as one of life’s most stressful experiences. It can be a hard, exhausting, expensive, frustrating, lengthy process. As a veteran of 24 moves, I’ve got some tips for you that I’ve learned about packing, hauling stuff, and settling in. I’ve moved as a child myself and with our children, as well as back into houses that didn’t sell. We’ve hired moving companies and we’ve also done it all ourselves. Check out Married to the Ministry for ways you can prepare your home and family for a new address without losing your sanity in the process.

One of the hardest aspects of ministry life can be determining if God is leading us out of our current church into a new place of service. Since so many pastors’ wives will at some point face this question, “How to Know When It’s Time to Go” is the topic of our latest podcast.

-When should we NOT leave our current ministry?
-How do we pray through unexpected job offers when we’re happy where we are?
-Is it okay to say no to a new opportunity?

Greg and I have navigated these decisions as pastor and wife for the past 25 years, so he joins me to talk about some of the lessons we’ve learned about leaving. If you’ve never walked through this type of decision before, you probably will at some point. I hope our conversation helps you see the Lord’s clear direction when it’s your turn to go.
