⬇️Read this simple posing element that makes a huge difference!

As a photographer it is your job to guide your model into poses that look organic.

Sometimes this means capturing your image mid-motion but with these photos, examples and/or verbal instruction was given.

👋A common question your subject might ask is, "where do I put my hands?" Such a simple detail that can change an image's focal point drastically. Check out where her hands are in each of these photos. It helps to give them an activity for their hands!

Notice in each of these images taken by the model looks calm, relaxed, and confident? Her hands are one piece of achieving this! They aren't clenched, stiff, fidgeting, or lost.

The 3 fundamental components! ⬇️ Read and then save this for later. 📷

These determine the exposure of a photograph: aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.

Together these effect how much light reaches the camera sensor which changes the brightness, depth of field, motion blur, and noise in your image.

Checkout this overview 👇

✨Aperture✨
• Represented by f-stops (f/2.8, f/5.6, f/16).
• Controls the size of the lens opening.
• A larger aperture (smaller f-number) allows more light to hit the sensor and creates a shallow depth of field, resulting in blurred backgrounds.
• A smaller aperture (larger f-number) allows less light and increases depth of field, keeping more of the scene in focus.

✨Shutter Speed✨
• Measured in seconds or fractions of a second (1/30, 1/125, 1/250).
• Determines how long the camera’s shutter remains open to let light into the sensor.
• A fast shutter speed captures quick motion and can freeze action, while a slow shutter speed can create motion blur, which is useful for effects like light trails.

✨ISO✨
• Indicates the sensitivity of the camera’s sensor to light.
• A lower ISO (100 or 200) means less sensitivity to light and is typically used in bright conditions to minimize noise.
• A higher ISO (1600 or 3200) increases sensitivity and is useful in low-light situations but can introduce noise or grain to the image.
