Few things can fill a drone pilot's heart with more dread than seeing this on their screen. The drone was flying so high that this was the only tree tall enough to cause a problem. Thankfully some of the contractors working on this house were also tree trimmers in their off hours. One of them, Alfredo, climbed the tree, looking for it with no luck. We then spent about 20 mins looking over the footage and finding any other clues we could. Finally when we felt confident that we knew roughly where it was I activated the lights and sounds mode. Alfredo climbed up again and he found it! The drone is working like a champ and has been on several flights since.

AI Tools You Should Be Using #4 - This post is a little different than the others because I wanted to show what this incredible tool can do. This is a tool called Suno and it's a platform for generating music. When I started playing with this tool I expected it would just produce a generic tune, probably nothing useful or unique. I was definitely wrong! Also I was shocked that it could produce lyrics and have voices singing them! I have been trying to push the boundaries of what it can do and so far it has not disappointed. The other day I got off a call with Bryce Miller of Bolsteroo and was wondering if it could write a good song about someone with very little information. Since he was top of mind I put in Bryce's name and that his company Bolsteroo helps people with social media. Within about 45 seconds Suno dropped this swagger heavy track.

If you want to use the music for commercial purposes there is a cost, but if you just want to experiment with it there is a free version. Check it out, and be sure to listen to this song all about Bryce Miller the Thiller!

Brian's Business Book Reviews - The E Myth Revisited
This is the first business book I read when I became a full time business owner. I wish I had read it a couple years earlier. I’ll go so far as to say that I think this should be required reading for anyone even thinking about starting a business.

The concepts laid out in this book helped me to see my business as it truly was and it helped me find a path to move forward. If you haven’t read this book just go buy it right now. Do it. Open up Amazon and get the physical or audio version.

When I first jumped into being a full time business owner I had never read a business book before. In fact, it hadn’t even occurred to me to read them. My industry always seemed so different from other industries that I didn’t think a business book could help me. It will probably surprise no one that I was wrong about that.

I will say that I don’t love everything about this book. The writer does tend to wax a bit poetic at times and in ways that are somewhat detrimental to the overall message. There was also a whole section about how you should play “the game” and by the end of that section I started to think he didn’t really understand what a game is.

Despite these minor complaints this is a solid must read for anyone starting a business and even those who are feeling lost on the road to growth.

This was one of the most unique things we've had a chance to film. Tacos Together threw an epic event at Gyver Hub where their goal was to break the Guinness Book of World Records record for the worlds largest blanket fort. As part of the verification process there were extensive measurements that had to happen and a video needed to capture the full size of the fort. This is a small sample of the video just to show the scope of the fort, but the unedited version that literally followed all the edges was closer to 6 mins long. They were able to break the record, and it was so fun to be even a small part of that process.

"I used to have to travel for work quite a bit. One of the first times that I did I happened to have my manager with me on the trip. On our final leg of the journey we were flying out of Las Vegas to come home. I was having trouble fitting all the gear in my travel bag for some reason and my manager offered to take a few pieces of the gear. One of those pieces was the item pictured above. If you don’t know what this is it’s an audio recording device. Odds are on first glance that’s not what you thought it was.

You and airport security would have that in common.

I got through the security checkpoint without incident. My manager was right behind me. As I stood there waiting for him to come through I noticed he was having some trouble with security. The biggest complication of all this is that I’m not totally sure my manager actually knew what this particular piece of gear did. I also couldn't get back to him without causing problems and potentially making things worse.

Thankfully it all worked out but it took quite awhile for him to get through and definitely caused us all quite a bit of stress." - Brian

Today's Ai tool is another tool that many of you will likely already have access to but may not realize it. To some extent it's hidden in plain sight. It's called Adobe Firefly. If you have a subscription to any of Adobe's products I recommend checking to see if this is included.

As mentioned before, we are not being paid or sponsored in any to provide this information. We just think these tools are amazing and that you should be using them.

Firefly is something of a Swiss army knife in the image generating space. It can create brand new images from a text prompt or it can create partial images to cover a specific area of an image, this is called generative fill. It can also help remove unwanted items from an image using generative fill and it can help with the creation of new shapes in Adobe Illustrator.

The aspect of this tool I use almost every day is the text to image feature. I find that it is a cut above some of the other text to image options out there and I just really enjoy the style of the images created with it. The image you're seeing above was actually created with Firefly. Many good options were generated but this one fit the best.

If you're not using Firefly and you have Adobe, do yourself a favor and start using it!

Last week we looked at Bolsteroo as an amazing tool for helping to keep your social presence active without spending endless hours on it. This week we watned to share an Ai tool many of you may already have access to and just not realize it. Canva!

As a quick reminder we are not being paid or sponsored in any way to create these posts. These are just tools we think are amazing and that you should be using!

Canva - First things first. If you haven't used Canva as a content creation tool already, you're missing out. Photoshop used to be a daily part of our workflow but in the last couple of years we have almost stopped using it completely. Photoshop still has some powerful and very important features that Canva doesn't offer, but it can do about 90% of what most content creators need it to while being faster and easier to use that Photoshop.

This doesn't even address the Ai aspect of Canva which is newer, and very handy. The main tool we use from Canva is their image generation tool. This allows you to describe the image you want and Canva will generate multiple image options for you. Among other services that offer this service it's definitely noticeably lower quality than many its competitors, but some of the images it spits our are excellent and we've used them for many projects. Also if you already have the paid version of Canva it's included!

Canva has a free option that is powerful but does not include everything. The Ai generation tool and many other useful tools are behind a paywall, but that paywall is very modest, less than $20/month.

"If I were to be really honest about where this all started, to some extent it would be this, right here. This is a lego set that is essentially a full studio. It came with a camera that connected into your computer, editing software, backdrops, a soundstage type set up, a dolly for the camera and so much more! It came with a little Steven Spielberg, little grips and even a slate. It also came with a book that taught you about filmmaking. I still have that book and I still have this set. It taught me so much about how to make good videos and it was where I learned to digitally edit as well.

These videos weren't the first videos I made by any means, I was making movies for years before this set came along, but it opened up a whole world to me where I could have stories taking place anywhere I could build with my legos, and my cast could be as large as I wanted. It unchained my creativity a lot and helped me learn the basics of shot composition, visual storytelling and even some special effects." - Brian
