Ahem, So before I was a producer/engineer from South London, I was DJing in nightclubs like The Ministry of Sound. Now that im living in Houston Texas tracking mixing and mastering music across many genres I couldn't help the yearning to make the music I would be playing in clubs now. So here it is, Broken Biscuits, a collection of broken beat sounds just like the music I miss dearly. That West-London sound was discovered when I regularly attended Co-Op parties and Southport Weekenders in England. Broken Biscuits is a combination of my two greatest things I miss back home; British biscuits and Broken Beat (Bruk) music. Enjoy!

As 2023 draws to a close, I cannot help but look back at the year in some contempt. Upon reflection I scoffed at the arduous trials that make this year particularly memorable. One chapter in particular stands out; the day I discovered that someone broke into the studio and stole over $20,000 worth of essential music production gear.

On the morning of August 22nd, someone broke into A SafeHouse and stole instruments, a drum machine, turntables, my precious speakers, several mics and blank checks. I walked into a mess; it was hard to stomach that someone would break in and steal hard-earned, self-funded equipment from my space. They violated the house that was built on the love of music. According to the police, this person may know me, they may know what I do, what I'm about, and whom I represent. They're aware this hurts me, my kids and my clients; I feel gutted and violated.

I'm encouraged by the love and support from friends and family to start this GoFundMe Campaign. I'm optimistic that I'll be back to making great music for my clients and their fans soon.

This morning someone broke into my recording studio stole my instruments, drum machine, turntables, speakers and a mic!

Im a little pi**ed, things will slow down for a bit but I will not be discouraged.

This person knows me, knows what I do, knows what im about and whom I represent. He knows that this hurt me, my kids and my clients.

I will have to work harder. Meanwhile, keep me in prayer this has been a tough year…but I continue.

Tonight said to me “I dont know how you do it…”

I told her “Honestly, I don’t know either!” I mean, i know that knowledge has something to do with it. I studied the science, ive been doing the art for 20 years, I got a small library of books, and i used to be a vinyl ju**ie, but i STILL dont actually know how i do it. Im not sure where the instinct, creativity and craft comes from.

A great song is like a beautiful butterfly, you have to capture it quick cos its fast and gently so you dont crumpling its wings. When you open your hands you hold steady, you can really marvel at its beauty and thats the when its ready to be released. Designed to fly for others to enjoy!
