From Whence It Came

I feel like it took a long time for me to figure out what I was going to do with my life. I had tried retail sales, call center management... Relatively simple things that bared little fruit for the soul. Somewhere in my mid 20’s, I finally found web and graphic design, and it’s been one of the things I’m most grateful for in life.

Web and graphic design is an art, and I’ve hardly ever considered myself an artist. If I’m being honest, even now, I feel like more of a composer than an artist, but I suppose composition is an art in and of itself.

My goal in this journey is to help brighten the dull parts of the web and graphic design world. Subpar logos make me sad, and old websites make me shake my head. Unfortunately for many, an upgrade in these areas can be cost prohibitive. And if there’s anything I can relate to, it’s the hurdles of cost prohibitive desires. As such, an internal fire burns to alleviate this hurdle for those who can’t eliminate it for themselves.

It only recently began to slowly dawn on me that after hours and hours of honing my graphic and web design skills, that I, little ol’ me, can in fact, help those who can’t help themselves. And once again, the finding of this journey and path has proven itself to be the gift that keeps on giving. If i can pay it forward, I will.
