Critter Creek, located right here in Gainesville, is a beautiful little farm sanctuary for cows, pigs and other friends ✨The animals over at get to live out their lives in peace within the abuse or fear they endure at commercial farms. What can make it better, you ask? Monthly events with artists, vegan food, and other local, eco-friendly vendors 💌 Oh, and we can’t forget to mention- you get to pet the piggies and feed the cows!! 🐷

“Making compost helps to reduce the amount of food waste entering landfills, and in turn, reduces the release of methane, a common greenhouse gas.
Composting enriches soil, helping to retain moisture and suppress plant diseases. It reduces the need for chemical fertilizers and encourages the production of natural bacteria and fungi that break down the food waste into hummus, the soil-like product of composting.”

Do you enjoy discussions around sustainability that are inclusive, intersectional and easy-to-understand? Do you like to meet other creatives and learn from your peers? Frothy Magazine is looking for artists/creatives to join our new digital team. This team will create content for our upcoming blog and work on Frothy content in a digital capacity. We want our website, frothymag.com, to be chalked full of resources for sustainable living, from equitable land development to racial justice and accessible food habits. As this is a new endeavor for our team, we want people with big ideas who are eager to learn and engage in discussions surrounding sustainability. While previous experience is welcomed, it is NOT a requirement. We want to use our space to teach, learn and create a community of inclusive folk who love to share knowledge. You do not have to be based in Gainesville or Florida to be a part of the Frothy Fam. Applications are on a rolling-basis.
Positions with Frothy are unpaid, and are volunteer-only. While we would love to have everyone stick with our team forever, we understand life happens. Positions are non-binding, and you can create content as much or as little you want. Whether you stick with us for a month or 7, we hope you'll find comfort being a part of the Frothy Fam.

Frothy Magazine will be at the Helping Hands benefit concert this upcoming weekend! Our very own EIC will be DJ’ing too 🦋🤘🏻
Helping Hands is a 18+ event and will be held at Swamp City Lounge, 716 N. Main Street, from 7PM-11pm on Friday June 4th. $5 pre-sale from May 26th to June 3rd, $10 at the door. All ticket sales will be directed towards The Repurpose Project.
We will have a booth where you can pick up your preordered magazine and check out our other merch for sale💚 rumor has it we might even have some copies of Issue 2 for sale 👀

Tomi Adesogan created the Instagram-based shop EarringsByTomi, a passion project she started just two months into the COVID-19 pandemic. Within days, she took on another mission to support racial justice causes.

We are expecting to pick up the copies on May 24. As we decided to print with a Florida-based printer, we’ll be making a little trip to get the magazines and bring them back to distribute.
There will be multiple opportunities to pick up your copy in Gainesville, so be sure to keep an eye out 👀
