Before the pandemic started, Luke Mehall, Writer and I had been discussing turning his written work as the publisher of The Climbing Zine into audio books and podcasts. We produced one episode of "Dirtbag State of Mind" prior to lockdowns. I was living in Athens, Ohio, and he was living in Durango, Colorado. Once the lockdowns were in place, we decided to go full-steam on producing the podcast because we were anticipating consumption of digital media / art was going to spike.

We wrapped up season 5 this winter. As a precursor to season 6, Luke flips the microphone and interviews me about my experience producing the podcast.

Here's the kicker...it's a podcast centered on rock climbing, and I don't climb! In reality, it's not about climbing, it's about mental health, access, equity, inclusion, friendships, love, and everything else you can jam into the category "life."
