A multitude of state and federal officials and legislators, conservation organizations, and stake holders attended an educational tour of the Everglades and the Big Cypress National Preserve hosted by Mike Elfenbein, the Executive Director of the Izaak Walton League of America Cypress Chapter featuring speaker Betty Osceola, activist and member of the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida, Panther Clan.

Buried in the mountains of video I have of this trip, I finally found it at the tail end of a clip. I thought I had lost it. Thus the reason for the late release Betty Osceola. But hey! Art inspiring Jonathan Dickinson State Park did not disappoint. As part of the wildlife corridor Florida State Parks tour, this park is a must visit. Especially if you are a mountain biker! So many trails!!

The 4th annual Removal of the Swamp Invaders Fishing Tournament presented by the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida Fish and Wildlife Department was a huge success! Aquatic invasive species are major problem in the Everglades. In some cases, the invasive species have reduced the native species by 99%!!!!

Jack Shealy of the Gladesmen Heritage Foundation along with History of the Florida Gladesmen's came out to the Izaak Walton League Cypress Chapter's Youth Fishing Tournament with their rolling museum depicting Florida Gladesmen heritage and history. The Youth Fishing Day put on by The Izaak Walton League Cypress Chapter and the US Fish and Wildlife Service at the Florida Panther National Refuge was a huge success!! The kids a great time as you can see. So many sponsors made this day possible including but not limited to Bass Pro Shops, Roland and Mary Ann Martin Marina and Resort, R&R Tackle the Gladesmen Heritage Foundation and so many more. Thanks to you and all the volunteers. It wouldn't have been possible without you!
