APSU is supporting local nonprofit YAIPak in their collection drive for victims of Helene in Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina by collecting the following items: diapers, pull-ups, formula, flashlights, crayons, gas cans, extension cords, water filter bottles, batteries of all sizes, coloring books, body wipes.

Collection bins are located in the MUC information desk area, Newton Military Center, Foy Fitness Center, Dunn Center, Ft. Campbell APSU Building, Sundquist by Elements Cafe, and Honors Commons until Oct. 15.

The 43rd Annual Leslie W. Watson Memorial Toy Run and Benefit Party will be September 13-15, 2024. The route for the run this year is the reverse of last year’s, as shown in the map courtesy of Bikers Who Care, a group of local motorcycle enthusiasts dedicated to supporting The Dream Factory and Camp Rainbow for seriously ill children. The Toy Run on Saturday, September 14 starts at Governor’s Square Mall and ends at the Clarksville Speedway. Lineup is 12 noon. Bring one new unwrapped toy, which will be collected and delivered to needy children at Christmas. The party after the run will feature live music, bike shows, drag races, and more.
