I need to get this out somewhere before I explode.
I’m a mom to my sweet girl, Mia, who’s seven. Last night, after a long day at work, I was cleaning up her crayons and coloring books. That’s when I found it.
It was a drawing—just a cute little sketch at first glance. It showed a family: a man, a woman, and a little girl all holding hands. I smiled at first, thinking, aw, how sweet. But then I looked closer. The man? Definitely Jack, my husband. But the woman? It wasn’t me. She had brown hair and was dressed like a bride. Next to them, Mia had written in her big, bubbly handwriting: “I CAN’T WAIT FOR YOU TO BE MY MOM.”

We're supposed to get married in a week. My parents are literally crazy about him! I mean, he's all good, really, but I feel like he's not what he seems. To check, I spent a couple of days with him, and he was Mr. Generosity himself, especially in public. But I wouldn't be me if I didn't go to extremes, and that's when things got interesting.
I decided to find out the truth and pretended to be a homeless person begging for help. The horror started when he arrived at the restaurant where I was already waiting for him at the door. At first, everything was as usual, that fake smile again. But as soon as no one was around, everything changed.👇

My stepfather adopted me and took care of me after my mother died when I was 10. After 8 uneasy years together, I was finally ready to pay him back.
As I was packing my bags to leave for college, my stepfather came into the room with tears in his eyes. "HERE'S A LETTER YOUR MOTHER ASKED ME TO GIVE YOU ON YOUR 18TH BIRTHDAY," he said, his voice trembling.

My oven's glass door shattered while I was eating dinner. It exploded about 5 minutes after it was turned off. I almost had a heart attack. This oven is only 2-3 years old. The other night I was invited out for a night with the “girls". I told my husband that I would be home by midnight, “I promise!” As time went by, the hours flew and the margaritas disappeared far too quickly. Around 3 a.m., a bit loaded, I headed for home. Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hallway started up and cuckooed 3 times. Quickly, realising my husband would probably wake up, I cuckooed another 9 times. I was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick-witted solution, in order to escape a possible conflict with him.
