Men struggle with mental health too. 💙
This is a reminder that it’s okay to not be okay and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Whether you’re in therapy, feeling alone, or just need someone to talk to—your struggles are valid.
Let’s break the stigma and send love to the men who are silently fighting battles we don’t always see.

🧠 Anxiety can hit when we least expect it, overwhelming our mind and body.
But when it strikes out of nowhere, there are ways to ground yourself 🧘‍♂️:

- Pause and breathe deeply to calm your nervous system

- Acknowledge the anxiety without judgment

- Use simple mantras like ‘This feeling will pass’

- Engage your senses: focus on what you can see, hear, touch, smell, and taste

- Move your body to release pent-up energy

- Remember, you’re safe and capable of managing this moment

It’s okay to feel anxious, but you don’t have to let it control you. 💙

💚 🙏 September is National Su***de Prevention Month – a time to remember the lives lost to su***de, acknowledge the millions more who have experienced suicidal thoughts, and the many individuals, families and communities that have been impacted by su***de. It’s also a time to raise awareness about su***de prevention and share messages of hope. 💚
The relationship between mental illness and su***de is multifaceted. Mental illnesses can significantly contribute to an individual’s vulnerability to suicidal thoughts and behaviors.
It’s essential to note that not everyone with a mental health disorder will experience suicidal thoughts, and not all individuals who attempt su***de have a diagnosed mental illness.
Su***de is a complex phenomenon influenced by various biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors.
If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available. Call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org to reach the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Always expect nothing, and appreciate everything. 🙌🏻
Many, many humans in the world could benefit from living this way. Sometimes people take things for granted or they do things only to expect something in return.
Why not live each day with gratitude?
What’s the harm in being kind?
🌟 Challenge for everyone: do one random act of kindness in the next 24 hrs without the expectation of receiving praise, thanks, etc. 🙏

This can be as simple as holding the door for someone behind you, or telling someone you love their outfit!

Be the change you want to see in this world 🌎!

People with ADHD are naturally inclined to hyperfocus on the present. So it’s often difficult to maintain awareness of time.
Time blindness can affect anyone, but is especially common in ADHDers.
⏰ What is time blindness? 🤔
People dealing with this have less awareness of the passage of time, which makes it hard for them to plan effectively. As a result, they need help determining how much time they’ll need to complete tasks.

They tend to leave out some activities when planning tasks. Like when I’m planning my morning before going to the office but don’t factor in those 10 extra minutes I spend looking for my keys that were actually on the counter 😂

Ways to overcome this:
1. Be aware of activities you tend to get lost in. 😞

2. Set more alarms. Starting 30 min from when you need to leave for an appointment, 15 minutes, 5 minutes and then the actual time you need to leave. ⏰

3. Remind yourself why you’re making these changes. Have feel-good notes pop up when you need them most like “you got a lot of things done today!” 📝

4. Visual cues help. For me analog clocks help more than digital because of the moving hands. 🕰️

5. When tackling a list of projects, resist the urge to remove things from the list as you complete them. Leave them there, cross them out and write “DONE” next to them ✍️

6. ADHDers can feel paralyzed by tasks or transitions. Pomodoro method helps me a ton. 5 min breaks after 25 min of focus.

7. I set all my clocks a few minutes ahead. That way I’m never actually late.

8. More timers can’t hurt.

9. Create playlists of music for different time intervals. So if you have 10 min to do something use that specific playlist.

10. Buffer time can help you arrive on time (or early) for appointments.

11. Science suggests that time blindness is linked to dopamine deficiencies in our brains.

12. A lot of us struggle to wake up and get ready for the day. Most of the time, morning problems are leftover night problems. Getting enough sleep plays a significant role in the ability of your brain to function optimally throughout the next day. 😴 🛌

I was not eating a balanced diet, I was working out once in a while and I just wasn’t feeling great at all. That’s when reached out and got me set up as a with . Over the last several weeks, I have transformed my diet and workout regimen and I am seeing so many results both physically and on the course.

2nd photo: July 14th 2024

Mentally I’m much improved but still not 100%. But after the 1st month working closely with my coach Alex you can clearly see some significant results (gainz 💪).

Let me know if y’all want more of a behind the scenes of the workouts/diet/etc. 🙌🏻

Excited to be supporting a cause close to my heart in July. I would love for you all to join us for the 3rd Annual Zopen: Tee Off to Cure MS! 🏌️‍♀️

This classic “Scramble” style golf tournament at Providence Country Club in Charlotte, NC will benefit the and takes place on July 22nd 2024.

My friend’s wife, Zoë, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2021, so this cause is near and dear to our hearts. Zoë is an absolutely incredible woman. She puts her heart and soul into running a Mental Health practice locally. This event means the world to all of us, being able to team up to help more people who struggle with mental health and at the same time, also support her. 😊

Last year, we were able to raise over $12,000 for MS research, and this year our goal is $25,000!

The event includes breakfast, lunch, beverages, range balls, and prizes. There will also be a reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres after the tournament.

Grab your tickets now and help us drive towards a cure for MS! 🏆

How long have you been golfing? 🏌️‍♂️ ⛳️
I feel blessed to have been introduced to this game at an early age. My grandfather was an avid golfer (played 3-4 times a week and worked at the local muni as a starter). He was the one that got me playing. First time I picked up a golf club was when I was 4 or 5 👦 I fell in love with ⛳️ quickly.
From the time I began playing until I graduated college, I only teed it up a handful of times per year. 2014 I got “the itch”. I’ve always been a super competitive guy and golf has allowed me to continue that passion.

🌟 Learn as if you will live forever, live like you will die tomorrow. 🏌️‍♂️✨

Reflecting on the past year, I’m reminded of the timeless wisdom of Gandhi. This powerful quote resonates deeply with me, especially in the context of mental health awareness.

In the pursuit of knowledge and personal growth, we must approach each day as if it were our last, embracing every opportunity to learn, evolve, and expand our horizons. It’s not just about acquiring information, but about nurturing a mindset that craves continuous improvement.

But why connect this quote to mental health? Because, my friends, mental well-being is the foundation upon which a fulfilling and purposeful life is built. When we learn to cherish the present moment and wholeheartedly immerse ourselves in the joy of learning, we are actively cultivating a positive mindset that supports our mental health.

We must take care of our minds with love and compassion. By prioritizing our mental well-being, we pave the way for resilience, growth, and emotional balance. Let’s encourage one another to engage in conversations about mental health, breaking down the barriers and stigmas that hinder progress.

So, QCG nation, what does this quote mean to you? How do you incorporate the teachings of Gandhi into your own journey of mental health awareness? Share your thoughts below and let’s ignite a conversation that inspires us all to live fully and embrace the precious gift of learning. 🌈💭💙

Thanksgiving 2023. Can’t believe we are already here. So so much to be grateful/thankful for this year.
But there was just one highlight that stood out amongst the rest. This year I married my best friend. Our two families became one and our day could not have been more special.
I remind y’all to take a moment to remember the people around you no matter what - family and friends. Without these people, life would be meaningless.
This year, I’m grateful that God led me to you, , I’m grateful for my family and close friends that have helped me through the tough times this year, which included the passing of my Poppy the day before my wedding 😢 and been there to celebrate the good times.
Lastly, I’m grateful for the 30k+ that have made the choice to follow me on this journey called life. The good, the bad, and everything in between.
What are you GRATEFUL for this year? 🤔 🤗 😁

✨ Monday Motivation ⛳️ 🍂
Mia Hamm might have been a soccer star, but this quote from her can be utilized outside of sports. I saw this, over the weekend, and immediately thought about the team I have supporting my mental health journey (friends, family and YOU ALL)!
It’s okay to be selfish at times and focus on yourself. Look, at the end of the day, you need to look out for your personal well being. But it is so much easier and way more fun to tackle this journey as a “team”. .l
We’ve got Thanksgiving in 3 days and I’m feeling thankful/grateful. 2023 has been an incredible year full of many many ups and and lot of downs. We made it though and 2024 is looking 👀 to get even better. I hope everyone has a wonderful week celebrating and spending time with loved ones. And I pray 🙏 for all those who do not have a home to be in/go to during the holiday season.
Starting today and running through the end of the year, Queen City Golf will be donating half of all merchandise purchases to
