The deadline to register for a spot in our portfolio review is TOMORROW, March 16th.

The event is March 23rd from 7-9pm EST and its a great way to network and show your work! We’ve got videographers and photographers representing different paths and you don’t need to be a graduating or have a full portfolio to come. Think of it as a checking point on your work and a way to network in a casual setting. All current UNC students are eligible to participate.

Hello Everyone! We've got several exciting events planned for the month of March:

The much anticipated, annual 37th Frame Awards are
now open! Our annual competition seeks to showcase the best of the best visual photographers from the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media. Entry is reserved for current students in the school or current students who have taken at least one journalism class and is entirely free to register. Submissions are due by 11:59pm EST on April 2nd. Judging will be held on April 4th. Award winners will have their work highlighted on our social platforms and will also have them hung up around the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media. We're also excited to host a virtual Portfolio Review on March 23rd from 7-9pm EST! This is a great chance for students to have their work critiqued by working professionals and industry leaders. It’s also a really great way to network and we encourage everyone to sign up. The deadline to register is March 16th and spots will be limited so register ASAP! The Carolina Photojournalism Workshop (CPJW) is HAPPENING!! CPJW is an intensive, on-location project where a group of students complete a multimedia project in one week. Visit the link below for more information and to sign up: https://bit.ly/cpjw2018

Finally, for a limited time we are back to selling our Viscomrades Sweater! The group order form closes on March
27th and can be found here: http://bit.ly/viscomshirts. Anyone and everyone (alumni included) are welcome to order a sweater! The current pricing is set in mind for 15 orders. The more folks that order, the lower the price will be. In the event that we don’t hit 15 orders and the price is higher, you will have the opportunity to refund your order. In the event that more than 15 orders
are placed, you will be refunded the difference as it will be cheaper. If you are in the Chapel Hill area or can reach it, you have the option of having your order shipped for free to Hanna Wondmagegn who will then coordinate with folks to deliver their sweater to them.
