The Progressive Tracks Show: "It's All The Music Your Spouse Can't Stand" and "All The Music You Can't Dance To"... for 10 years and counting. This show was originally my attempt to "keep the Prog Lamp burning" in my own corner of the world... but it's grown way beyond that. Progzilla Radio is an all-volunteer internet-based 24/7 progressive rock station... KPTZ is a listener-supported, community

FM radio station. I am a volunteer DJ, so I so what I do for the music I love... and for those who make it and love it too. I take pleasure in introducing new artists and new music to my listeners, just as much as I love playing classic progressive rock. Podcasts of the full 120-minute shows are available (in high-quality MP3-320kbps) at Progzilla Radio's website:

At time of writing, you're one of over 1,600 FB followers. But if FB is not your 'cuppa', I also have a growing Tumblr blog with almost 1,900 followers (https://progtracks.tumblr.com/), and a growing presence on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/progtracks/ ) and Threads ( https://www.threads.net/?fbclid=IwAR3qlKUsrCXSaQeSVMEsihsWX2LNMSJAicPXExh7vaR2bzZFFS4Ll-el8Kw )

I love feedback, so Email me with questions and comments: [email protected]

If you are a Prog artist or label executive, feel free to send me your music for the show. What is REALLY convenient (and cheap for you) is sending me a Bandcamp code... plus your music goes into my collection that is seen by others music lovers who often purchase music based on my recommendations. However, if you want to send it via another means, WAV files are needed if you want them kept in the KPTZ catalog, but I can use high-quality MP3 - 320 kbps files for the show. Posting/Mailing CDs or GoogleDrive/DropBox-type links are both fine delivery methods. I DO NOT SHARE music with others without prior permission; the artists' creations are theirs to share. I am simply here to support. Progzilla Radio (Progzilla.com) broadcasts the show on Wednesday nights (US)/Thursday mornings (UK), and Mondays (when I host 'discussion' in the Progzilla Chat Room https://progzilla.com/chat/ ). This is the KPTZ show, with another 60 minutes of music added on. This 120-minute show is podcasted, and available at: https://progzilla.com/category/podcast/progressive-tracks/

Unfortunately, KPTZ cannot podcast music shows, but you can access the KPTZ shows for 14 days after airing at KPTZ.org by clicking on the Calendar function. The KPTZ show is aired/streamed live Sunday mornings and is also rebroadcast Monday nights to accommodate listeners in other time zones around the world. My show is 60 minutes in length (KPTZ) and 120 minutes (Progzilla Radio) for a couple of reasons: (1) I have other jobs that requires my attention, and (2) I don't want you to have to listen to 3 or 4 hours of a show to hear the couple of songs/artists in which you are truly interested. I do give important information, but I keep my comments short to maximize the music. Think of my show as an "efficient" way to expand your progressive music experience! The one-hour show length is also why I tend not to do many interviews. If you're still reading this far down, I very much appreciate your interest in this Page and the Progressive Tracks Show. Be Well... and Prog On!

The Progressive Tracks Story

This was originally my attempt to "keep the Prog Lamp burning" in my corner of the world, but it's grown waaay beyond that. This is not a business page. KPTZ is a listener-supported, community FM radio station... and I am a volunteer DJ. So what I do, I do for the music I love... and for those who love it too. I'm also 'syndicated' on Progzilla Radio in the UK (a 24/7 Progressive Rock Internet Station). This not only allows greater opportunity for you to hear the show, but also to listen anytime via podcast or download the shows. Type "Progressive Tracks" in the search feature at Progzilla.com to get the latest show: http://www.progzilla.com/?s=progtracks I take pleasure in introducing new artists and new music to my listeners, just as much as I love playing classic progressive rock. I try to balance these two goals. My show is either 60 minutes in length (KPTZ) and 90 minutes (Progzilla Radio) for a couple of reasons: (1) I have other jobs that requires my attention, and (2) I don't want you to have to listen to 3 or 4 hours of a show to hear the couple of songs/artists in which you are truly interested. I do include pertinent information, but I keep my comments short to maximize the music. Think of my show as an "efficient" way to expand your progressive music experience! The one-hour show length is also why I tend not to do interviews. I also have a growing Tumblr blog with over 1,800 followers, including artists that I play on the Progressive Tracks Show. http://progtracks.tumblr.com/ I love feedback, so PM me... or e-mail me with questions and comments: [email protected] If you are a Prog artist or label executive, feel free to send me your music for the show (WAV files are needed if you want them kept in the KPTZ catalog, but I can use FLAC or high quality MP3 - 320 kbps - files for my show). This show is podcasted, and free downloads of over 165 shows are available at: http://www.progzilla.com/?s=progtracks Unfortunately KPTZ cannot podcast music shows, but you can access the KPTZ shows for 14 days after airing at www.RadioFreeAmerica.com The KPTZ show is aired/streamed live Sunday mornings, and is also rebroadcast Monday nights to accommodate listeners in other time zones around the world.
