THE PAUL ARMBRUSTER WORKSHOP:
The Paul Armbruster Workshop provides a place to develop your skills and get ready to compete in the field of voiceover. You'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of commercial copy both solo and combo, character and "straight". Students will sample and discuss demos from some of the top talent in the country, but the true thrust of the workshop will be lea
rning to take direction effectively and broadening the range of your own interpretative abilities. The final session includes a private consultation with the instructor and an assessment of your future in the industry. THE INSTRUCTOR:
Paul Armbruster is a working actor with over thirty years of voiceover experience in Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in speech and drama from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. For over twenty years he has successfully trained others in the vocal arts for both Los Angeles Broadcasters, The Alliance Theatre Acting Program and the Paul Armbruster Voiceover Workshops. Commercial credits include: Kentucky Fried Chicken, Nissan, Coca-Cola, Valvoline, Holiday Inn, Pizza Hut, Disney World, A T & T, Sears, and Chevrolet. He has voiced television promos for Cinemax, Disney, The Weather Channel & TNT, and provided the imaging voice for over 50 radio stations across the country, including STAR 98 in Los Angeles and Z-100 in New York. He is currently heard on countless business voice mail and IVR systems around the country. WORKSHOP FACILITIES:
The first four sessions of the workshop are held at the instructor's home in Decatur; the last four sessions are at Doppler Studios, a professional recording studio in the Buckhead/Midtown area. The studio environment enables students to master many technical intricacies of the business including: proper microphone technique, use of the headset, working to time with a music track, and sound booth etiquette for solo and dialogue work. A studio engineer will handle recording and playback and provide class members with digital copies of their work. ENROLLMENT:
• The workshop will meet twice a week from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays for a total of eight sessions.
•To ensure enough microphone time for all, each workshop is limited to six students with positions allotted in the order in which applications are received.
•The course fee is $500.00. Sorry, no refunds or make-ups.
•To register, send your check to Paul Armbruster, 2251 Willivee Place, Decatur, Ga 30033. Be sure to indicate which workshop you're interested in and include your personal contact information. Receipt of your check reserves a place for you in the class.
