As Thailand aims to increase its climate resilience, promote gender equality and strengthen the capabilities of SMEs, an international organisation is helping the country in attaining these goals by collaborating with the private sector through financial intermediaries. Country Manager for Thailand and Myanmar of the International Finance Corporation (a member of the World Bank Group), Jane Yuan Xu, said that that cooperation with both banking and non-banking institutions has driven initiatives towards these objectives, but the main challenge remains the transition to becoming a high-income country.
