BG Pathum United coach Makoto Teguramori is happy with the goalless draw against Melbourne City on Wednesday night and is confident that the Rabbits will make it to the last 16 stage of the AFC Champions League.

Pathum lead the Group G table with 11 points, two ahead of their Australian opponents.

The Thai League 1 giants are scheduled to play their final game of the group stage against Jeonnam Dragons of South Korea on Saturday.
Teguramori told the media after the match that despite the fact both sides failed to score, "it was an exciting tussle.

"Both teams were equally good in both attacking and defending, making it a close contest.

"We handled the attacking game of Melbourne team very well. However, at the other end, we also had chances but Melbourne City defence was a tough nut to crack.

"If we had won this game we would have been through to the next stage, but we didn't want to put ourselves under extra pressure. We controlled the game well and that's what really matters.

"Although there are a few things that need to improve, we are still in a very good position to qualify.

"Not every player is happy with the draw but I have advised them to focus on the next game instead. It will be a different game."

Meanwhile, Korean FA Cup winners Jeonnam Dragons picked up three points by beating United City of the Philippines 2-0 on Wednesday night to kept their campaign alive.

Goals from substitutes, Leonard Pllana and Park In-Hyeok secured the victory for Jeonnam Dragons which put them two points adrift of Melbourne City.

Melbourne City will take on United City on Saturday.
