AKARANGA RULES OUT GOING FOR GOVERNORSHIP
Former Vihiga governor Hon. Moses Akaranga has ruled out the possibility of contesting for Vihiga County top seat come 2027.

Speaking during end of Lwangare District women conference at Lwangare P.A.G on Sunday, the former County CEO stated clear that ,through wide consultations from different stakeholders he has opted to take a different direction come 2027
' I talked to Mudavadi and advised me not to run for governorship, instead have decided I will go for a different seat'. Akaranga said.
Instead ,Hon. Akaranga advised the current senator Hon. Godfrey Osotsi who was in attendance to contest for the seat ' I talked to Osotsi and he told me that he will be running for governorship. I advise you senator you come and see me for direction. You and Janet Ominde one of you should run for the seat deputised by another '. Akaranga jockingly added.

Sources indicate, Hon. Akaranga is opting to ran for the senatorial seat under UDA ticket or ODM .

SLOYA SWORN IN DURING BIRTHDAY AS FIFTH SABATIA LAW MAKER
Sabatia Constituency newly elected law maker Hon. Clement Logova Sloya, has been sworn in on Thursday as he turns a year older.

The young ,flamboyant eloquent leader took an oath of office during the 13th parliamentary swearing ceremony to become the Fifth Sabatia member of parliament after Hon. Alfred Agoi.

Hon. Sloya elected on UDA ticket in an area perceived to be Hon. Musalia Mudavadi home area , expressed his happiness for such an event conciding with his birthday which according to him is a day of true leadership for Sabatia.'Today goes down in history.Sharing my birthday with my swearing in as MP Sabatia.My late mum should be missing this. To the people of Sabatia,the time for true leadership is now. Happy birthday to me'. Sloya wrote.

Sloya has expressed his desire to see a better Sabatia ,free from servitude of poverty witnessed for years due to unemployment among the youths.

His dream is to see a developed society with equal opportunities for all spread across all wards within Sabatia.
Hon. Sloya was elected in an environment full of betrayal and rejection from his late brothers friends who frustrated him to his victory.

KHANIRI- AGOI SNUBS GUBERNATORIAL DEBATEA AT KAIMOSI UNIVERSITY
Vihiga gubernatorial debate is currently ongoing at Kaimosi University where only three aspiring governors are in attendance two missing in action.

Only former governor Rev. Moses Akaranga, incumbent Dr. Wilber Ottichilo and former Vihiga county Secretary Hon. Francis Ominde are in attendance.
It is not yet clear why Hon. Alfred Agoi and senator George Khaniri have snubbed it.
Sources indicate that the two were warned by their advisers not to attend for fear of being embarrassed with pertinent questions from moderators over their leadership performance.
The debates is still ongoing.

ANC MCAs CRY FOUL OVER NO PARTY CAMPAIGN FUNDING
Sitting and Aspiring MCAs on Amani National Congress party (ANC) ticket risk not winning election , citing lack of funds to run their campaigns.

The bullet paper has established that,the said candidates were promised full support from the party which made them ditch UDA associated with the deputy president Dr. William Ruto.
' Our counterparts from UDA receive full support directly from DP while us, the Kenya kwanza funds are horded by few selfish individuals running heavy campaigns when the ground is hard for them. This makes us to strain in our campaigns endangering our candidatures and risk losing.' A sitting MCA who seek anonymity not to be mentioned said.

Sources indicate, the deputy president Dr. Ruto, agreed not to field the UDA MCAs who were sure of winning and tasked Hon. Agoi to hand them direct ticket something which looks regrettable for them.
' It is dangerous when a party is being run by selfish cartels who don't care about its future but what profits them.Our competitors from Azimio la Umoja group are well funded risking our party from getting majority seats in the county assembly.Even during DP rallies we are only given 20k to do mobilization endangering our images.' The MCA added.
Other MCAs who are victims argue that , such greed from few party officials risk Kenya kwanza not achieve 70% from the entire western region.

AGOI FACES HARDSHIP OF IEBC CLEARANCE OVER M'MAITSI
Sabatia law maker Hon. Alfred Agoi and Vihiga Aspiring governor , faces a huddle of failure to be cleared by IEBC over his deputy Hon. Vincent M'maitsi late resignation.

The law required all civil servants seeking elective position to have resigned before February 9, 2022 which M'maitsi failed to abide by it.

Hon.M'maitsi who chaired the Vihiga county public service board failed to meet the deadline which has endangered Hon. Alfred Agoi candidature.

The Kenya kwanza team led by UDA presidential candidate Hon. Dr. William Ruto has been forced to bring former governor Hon. Moses Akaranga on board, in case Agoi fails to be cleared as an alternative.

MBINDI TAKES LEAD IN NEW VIHIGA SENETORIAL POLL
Vihiga senatorial independent candidate Hon.Sisco Mbindi will take an early lead, if election were to be held today, according to new poll released by Kenya News Agency.

A poll conducted between 1st May - 20th May 2022, on 2000 respondents across the 25 wards shows ,Sisco being ahead with 31% , nominated MP Hon. Godfrey Osotsi 24% comes second and Kibwareng ward(Nandi) MCA Hon. Jackson Kedogo Swadi comes third with 17%.

The survey indicates , Mbindi more popular in Sabatia , Vihiga , Hamisi west and parts of Emuhaya.

The result of the poll is attributed to his empowerment programs carried across the county and availability when called upon to help whenever the need arises in different areas.

Many see him as a development oriented leader who actively participate in social welfare, which has earned him fame in the media circle and at grassroot level across the county.

Having branded himself as the real Vihiga son of soil , makes the electorate feel is more of Vihiga resident compared to others who reside outside but constructed houses a few months ago to convince the residents that they are part of the society.

Mbindi desire to work with everybody irrespective of the party , religion and gender has earned him support across different political divide.

Vihiga county senator and aspiring governor Hon. George Khaniri has vowed to throw his weight behind Hon. Clement Sloya to clinch the Sabatia parliamentary seat come August.

Speaking at Viyalo Friends Church , in a meeting attended by close to one thousand people across Sabatia constituency, Hon. Khaniri reiterated that, it is high time for the people of Sabatia to elect a youthful leader, irrespective of political party , age and financial status.

The vocal senator warned the electorate from choosing leaders imposed to them, and urged them that the best candidate for MP Sabatia is Hon. Clement Sloya .' I will use my little resource at my disposal and ensure Sabatia get the right leader. I went to parliament at a tender age when I had no enough money. When people love you , they vote you in without looking at the party and financial status. Let them endorse the leader they want but you people will decide .' Said Khaniri.
' I will walk with you , support you to ensure you are the next Sabatia MP'. He added.

Hon. Clement Sloya assured the people of Sabatia, he will not let the down once elected into office.
