August Pictures was conceived in 2007 to tell stories. Intimate stories. Surprising stories. Human interest stories. Stories that inform and entertain. Stories that lift the human spirit. Or singe the soul. Stories that reveal the many shades of the human condition. Stories told with integrity and creativity. In any genre - fiction or factual. The encouraging viewership ratings and numerous awards our programmes have garnered are not our primary motivation. Our focus is always to create the best work possible. For an audience of one, ten, a thousand, a hundred thousand. We measure our success by the hearts we touch, the minds we inspire and the thoughts we provoke. This same philosophy informs the choices we make about the industry professionals we seek to partner and collaborate with on our journey of creation – innovative story-tellers who bring integrity, passion and varied perspectives to each project we undertake.
