MISSION
An online radio station, Radio Safi was established in 2012 as a communication platform intended to revitalize the exchange of information, knowledge, culture and art amongst people of East African descent in the African Diaspora, and those living at home in Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania. It aims to bring East Africans of varied ages, ethnicities and socio-economic backgroun
ds together, so that they can become informed, educated, entertained and/or do business. In light of this mission, Radio Safi provides:
● programming in the form of commentary, news reports, interviews and chat sessions with reference to events (current or otherwise) in politics, economics and business, lifestyle, sports, and the arts;
● a repository where the above materials can be uploaded, archived and publicly accessed;
● a showcase of exhibitions depicting the abundant history, art and culture of the East African people;
● an internet-based forum for advertising as well as networking.
