Contrary to widespread reports and social media buzz, a life-sized statue of Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has not been unveiled at Times Square in New York. Images circulating online, which appeared to show the statue, have been exposed as a clever marketing ploy by mattress company Duroflex.

Several news outlets, including News18, LiveMint, The Indian Express, The Hindustan Times, and Money Control, had reported on the alleged statue, with many social media users also sharing the images. However, a reverse image search revealed that the visuals were created using Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) by Duroflex, which had clearly mentioned the CGI hashtag or label in their social media posts.

The company's clever advertising tactic had successfully fooled many, but the truth has now been revealed. While there is no real statue of Virat Kohli at Times Square, the images will undoubtedly continue to impress and deceive many on social media.

Netanyahu has indicated that he is open to a “partial” deal that would facilitate the return of some captives still held in G-aza, even if not all.

Police have arrested a man who allegedly r***d his minor niece in B Colony area of Lodhran city.

According to Lodhran city police SHO Zafar Garwan, father of the 10-year-old girl in his complaint alleged that on June 12, his daughter was alone in the house.

He said the suspect, her maternal uncle, along with an unidentified man entered the house and allegedly r***d the minor. The SHO claimed that the suspect has been arrested, while the medico-legal examination report of the girl was awaited for further action. He added that that the DNA test would also be conducted to ascertain the crime.

At least 14 bodies were found across Karachi on Sunday. An Edhi Foundation official said that most of the bodies were of drug addicts who had died due to severe heat while being under the effect of narcotics.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Edhi Foundation, Azeem Khan, told that most of the bodies found on Sunday were those of drug addicts. He said that usually, two to four bodies of drug addicts were found in different areas of Karachi on a daily basis. However, due to the increasing temperatures and rising number of drug addicts, the number of deaths had also been increasing, he added. He said the more the drug addicts continued to consume narcotics in the extremely hot weather, the more the risk of death would be.
