The UET Cricket Championship was unfolded by the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore Sports Department.
Faculties from UET Lahore, Faisalabad Campus, New Campus, Narowal Campus, and RCET Gujranwala clashed in knockout battles, leading to an epic finale.

The final match of UET Cricket
Championship 2023-2024 was played between Faculty of Architecture Vs UET Faisalabad Campus. Faculty of Architecture won the UET Cricket Championship by 97 Runs and UET Faisalabad Campus remained the Runner-Up Team.

The standout performer of the final match was Mr. Urva Nadeem earning the well-deserved title of Man of the Match.

Dean of Electrical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shoaib, awards the winner and the runner up with trophies, applauding the UET Sports Department to organize the cricket Championship.

Students' Financial Aid & Career Services (FA & CS) gives reminder to those students of Session-2020 who received BISP Undergraduate Scholarship to submit their claim at Dues Section (through form available in Dues Section) regarding refund of 1" & 2nd semesters fee paid by them at the time of admission.

If the student fails to apply for refund by 01.12.2023, the scholarship of first Semester will be returned to HEC and 1st and 2nd Semester fee will be adjusted against the student's deposited fund.

On its 70th anniversary, Pakistan Cables, in collaboration with the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) held a seminar, ‘Ignite Possibilities’, on the evolving landscape of sustainability in engineering. With students and professionals in attendance, the event inspired academia and practitioners to develop thought leadership in sustainable development.

The event featured three masterclasses by Imrana Tiwana, Convener of Lahore Bachao Tehreek and a Board Member of Lahore Conservation Society; Raza Ali Dada, Managing Partner of Nayyar Ali Dada & Associates; and Hafsa Naeem, Country Director at Bondh E Shams.

*** Inauguration of Urban Forest at UET ***

The Inauguration of Urban Forest was held at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore and Faisalabad Campuses. Under the direction of worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Habib-Ur-Rehman, Campus Coordinator Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin, Campus Horticulturist Mrs. Saba Shakeel, along with gardeners and students, have planted more than ten thousand (10000) plants in the last 10 months. The UET initiative on the green campus is aggressively and successfully being followed. Two urban forest sites at the campus were inaugurated by Director KICS and CERAD Prof. Dr. Waqar Mahmood, President of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries- (FCCI). Dr. Khurram Tariq, Archroma Switzerland Mr. Paul Cowel, CEO Archroma Mr. Mr. Mujtaba Rahim, PRGMEA Mr. Assad. They also planted trees on this occasion. The efforts of the UET Lahore and its Faisalabad Campus were appreciated by the representatives of academia and industry.

*** CRP Cricket Kit Distribution Ceremony *** The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore's City and Regional Planning Department held an event to unveil a new cricket kit and distribute it among students for the upcoming 2023 cricket tournament. The kit will be used to help students develop their cricket skills and foster a passion for the sport. Both departmental staff and faculty members as well as students attended the event. It highlighted the department's commitment to giving students access to excellent resources and encouraging their involvement in extracurricular activities, introducing the new gear. Students had the opportunity to try on the new kit and test out the equipment. They also received tips on how to improve their cricket skills and prepare for the upcoming tournament. The City and Regional Planning Department is hopeful that the new cricket kit will encourage students to actively participate in the tournament and develop a love for the sport. The department also believes that the kit will assist students in developing the skills and knowledge necessary for cricket success.
