COPS SACK ROBBERY HOLD-UP SUSPECTS
Four suspects were arrested by authorities during Oplan Sita and follow-up operation on February 10, 2023, 5:30PM following a robbery hold-up incident that transpired along Mangga St., Talon 5, Las Piñas City at around 1:00 am of Friday (February 10)
They were identified as Julio Czar Omahoy y Gersola, 31 years old, Glenn Cañete y Ricaport, 31 years old, Jerome Marquina y Cantal, 25 years old, construction worker and Artju Palomata y Bustamante, 24 years old, construction worker.
Report said that while TMRU personnel were conducting Oplan Sita Operation at Luningning Subd, Brgy Talon 4, Las Piñas City when they flagged down two male suspects (Artju Palomata y Bustamante and Jerome Marquina y Cantal) riding a motorcycle without safety helmets. Instead of heeding, the duo disobeyed the lawmen and a short chased ensued. When intercepted, lawmen seized one caliber .38 revolver from the driver (Artju Palomata) and one (1) bladed weapon from the backride (Jerome Marquina) that resulted in their immediate arrest. Suspects were brought to Talon Sub-Station for proper disposition and investigation and upon arrival at the said sub-station, the victim of a robbery hold-up that transpired on February 10, 2023 at about 1:00AM who was identified as Edward Molina y Pantubila, 32 years old, construction worker is being investigated and he identified Molina and Palomata and other two unidentified suspects as the ones who robbed him. Immediately, Talon Sub-Station conducted follow-up operation that resulted also in the arrest of the two other suspects and confiscation of another one caliber .38 revolver and one pointed weapon.
Victim also narrated that the stolen items were his cellphone worth ₱10,000.00, wrist watch (Seiko) worth ₱ 5,000 and cash amounting to ₱ 800.00. The motorcycle, black Yamaha Novu Z motorcycle without plate number used by the suspects was also confiscated as evidence.
Suspects are presently detained at the Las Piñas City Police Station while appropriate complaints for violation of RA 10591, BP6 and Robbery in Band will be filed against them.
