A New Chapter of Leadership Begins!

Last Monday, we proudly welcomed our newly elected Student Body Organization (SBO) Officers as they officially took their oath to lead with passion, integrity, and a commitment to serve! These young leaders have pledged to uphold the values of Evangelical Achievers' Academy and work together for the betterment of our school community.

With their hearts set on unity and growth, they are ready to make a lasting impact and inspire their fellow students! Let’s cheer them on as they begin on this important journey!

In the midst of your responsibilities—assignments, exams, and activities—it’s important to remember that rest is not a sign of weakness. It is a necessary part of growth, learning, and success. Taking time for yourself is an investment in your well-being, both physically and mentally.

We encourage you to embrace rest when needed. Don't feel guilty for pausing. Rest allows you to recharge, refocus, and come back stronger.

Remember, taking care of yourself is just as important as achieving your goals.

What does it mean to be a leader?

Being a leader is not just commanding or telling others what to do. Leadership is shown through actions and by helping others, teaching, nurturing, and motivating them to perform such actions by achieving one goal for the common good. Effective leaders build, sustain, and bridge communities through partnerships and leverage those partnerships to cultivate inclusive, caring, and culturally responsive communities.

Being a leader empowers others and cultivates leadership skills. They know they are not running a single show but cannot do it all alone. Great leaders know they must surround themselves with great mentors and colleagues, and support others by encouraging them to continually learn, develop, and become leaders. The very best leaders are also visionaries. They have a goal where they can unite others around and a plan to help them get there and can articulate clearly their visions and goals.

Great leaders lead by example, as their actions tell more than words. They position themselves as tremendous role models and lifelong learners. They are humble in their knowledge yet confident in their abilities. An endlessly curious individual who never stops questioning and learning.

Two years after the pandemic, the Evangelical Achievers' Academy formally began its Scouting Activity. The Scout Movement encourages the physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual development of young Achievers so that they take a constructive place in society as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national, and international communities.

EAA's gate has officially opened for the said activity as we march to our leadership and competence. The activity took place on EAA grounds and the school premises. Borne by our Junior High Scout leaders, the torch lighting occurred to symbolize that the ceremony had started. The torch with its flickering flame symbolizes the enduring values and principles that have guided Scouts around the world for generations. The flame we kindle represents not just light but inspires us to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Our hearts were carried away by our "Paper Plane" activity, as this signifies the written dreams and goals that we want to pursue. Led by our Grade 7 adviser, the paper planes were tossed above and have been offered through prayers. The Achievers were filled with thrill and excitement as they gathered for this pursuit, not only for themselves but also for the common good.

We're celebrating World Teachers' Day this coming October 5, 2023, here in the EAA Open Court. Let's show our love and support to our teachers who did extraordinary things for us as one of our instruments in reaching our dreams. For teaching us not only through pen and paper but also in life.

Our values and competence you mold played a vital role in our growth as we step into our student journey. Thank you, Achiever teachers!

"I failed the exam today. Do mommy and daddy will get mad at me for disappointing them?"
"I didn't reach the passing score, does this mean I failed already?"

We often feel discouraged when we fail, especially during the examination, when we know that we studied hard late at night. At the back of our minds, we always think what if we failed? Would they be disappointed in us? What if they only root for us because they have cultivated so many dreams in ourselves and we let them down?

Sometimes, in life, it is okay to fail because that is part of the process. With failure, we learn how to get back up as we grow each day. There is no success in life without hardships involved. Besides, success is best celebrated with sweat and challenges. Always acknowledge yourselves for the struggles you've encountered and learn from them. Eventually, you all did your best!

Hello, Achievers!

Here's a look back on some of our snaps during the Family Day 2023 of EAA with the theme "Strengthening Relationships and Working Towards a Better Future". We had a lot of fun with this activity, and building bridges with other families, as well as creating camaraderie with one another.

Family Day proves that even amidst the challenges we're facing if we'll work together for the common good, we can achieve the better future that we envision to have, especially the future that we design for our children. We thank everyone who has become a huge part of the activity and its success.

We encouraged every family to participate and join us for this remarkable activity to strengthen the bond with our family members. It aims to improve communication by bringing students, parents, and staff together in an informal setting.
