KING CHARLES III CORONATION PROGRAM TO BE HELD BY PNG NATIONAL GOVERNMENT AT SIR HUBERT MURRAY STADIUM
Millions of people across the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth countries are preparing to witness and celebrate the Crowning of King Charles III at the Westminster Abbey in London today.
King Charles III will be crowned alongside Queen Carmilla, the Queen Consort, and he will be the 40th reigning monarch crowned since 1066.
The Ceremony will start at 11 am UK time which is around 6pm PNG time.
King Charles will be presented with the Sovereignβs Orb, the Sovereign Sceptre, with Dove at the Key moment of the Ceremony.
The Kings Coronation ceremony will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury and will be a solemn religious service, as well as an occasion for celebration for millions across the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth Nations.
Papua New Guinea, one of the 16 Commonwealth realms is preparing well for this significant event, which will be celebrated at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium in Port Moresby.
The official program is expected to commence at 6pm.
According to the official program released, the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III will be Telecasted Live.
The Program will begin with a Prayer of Blessing by Bishop Lindsay Ihove of the Anglican Church of Papua NEW Guinea.
Senior State officials including the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, James Marape, Host Governor of NCD , Powes Parkop will be there to deliver their speeches with the Keynote address to be given by the Acting Governor General of Papua New Guinea His Excellency Job Pomat.
A thirty minute Coronation Process will be conducted by a combined Disciplinary Force; PNG Defence Force, Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary, PNG Fire Service, Papua New Guinea Correctional Services and St John Ambulance from the Government House in Konedobu to the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium from 6pm to 6: 30 pm.
The actual crowning of His Majesty King Charles III will be at 9:40 pm and Crowning of Her Majesty Queen Consort will be at 9:50 pm.
Charles and Camilla's coronation will be the first of a British monarch in the 21st century, and the 40th to be held at Westminster Abbey.
