Update on the Flying Saucer. An innocuous body surfing session turned my world upsidedown around 5 weeks ago. Head and neck impact on sand resulted in temporary paralysis in the water and on beach, some nerve damage, a good sized concussion and very real trauma. First dip back in Moana today. Wasn't easy but but I love her and it was the first of many personal rehab sessions. I'm incredibly grateful to my rescuers, my incredible partner in life Anna, friends and whanau near and far, who have lived with love and patience.
