Saw this on opening night..... I thought it was a fair watch from two MCU bad arses who fill in a story gap made over recent years.... and it's a movie starring two white men (WOW) who know their s**t. It's a fun comedy ride even though its second act feels a little bloated. 7/10

Okay - after our recent global internet meltdown earlier in the week, I'm sure we have woken up to the value of having cash in our pockets and our futures. Next month is a big one as it is the whole 31 days of Aug. So if you can do your bit to "Keep the CASH" please do so.....Australian's grabbed $13.1 billion in CASH last month which shocked the banks sending a strong message to the law makers - something we need to do to businesses who won't take cash - please inform them of their error! If you have noticed the reserve bank has been asking for our approval for their digital (COIN) tokens - please say NO! A cashless society is a prison for 98.7% of us!

Very sad news came to our film family today - hearing Oliver Francis Huang-Hsu our extremely talented feature composer “Not For Children” had passed away overnight from Lymphoma.
Very sad for all of us who knew and had worked along side Oliver - and his many friends around the New Zealand film industry. RIP my dear friend. 😢

When you have that uncontrollable desire to write a screenplay - driven by the emotional excitement of one day sharing your very special story with an audience - just be completely aware of the endless pitfalls that are part of our creative industry. I see so many advertisements offering the opportunity to write for the performing arts, which is fine at first glance. But none of these writing schools teach you how to sell your masterpiece. You see, selling a creative idea isn't about the building of a 100 page story narrative - it's not even about YOU! It's about the willingness of a group of business men and women who need to understand the cash value in your story and whether it fits into their screening schedule. These people aren't even filmmakers - they are marketeers. Before you spend any money on anything - understand the selling process and all its complexities.
