Happy New Year
We are currently casting for a Women in Sport project.
Do you know a keen young female rugby player aged 5 – 8?
THE ROLE
We are looking for a young girl aged 5 – 8 yrs old who plays rugby / ripper rugby or is very keen to start this year.
Our hero girl is learning what it means to be a part of something and figuring out how she fits into this big, exciting new world of sport. She is a bright-eyed kid, brimming with excitement. She is small but determined and there’s an undeniable spark about her.
Previous acting experience is not necessary.
DATES & PAYMENT
The potential participants must be Auckland based or nearby and be available for the shoot date of 15th February. If selected for the role the child will be paid $6000.
This payment is for the shoot day and for the commercial to air on NZ TV, In Stores and on the Internet for 1 year. There will also be photography, mainly for Online and Instore. The campaign is sponsored by a NZ telecommunications company.
TO APPLY
Take a photo of the child and make a short video of around 2 minutes long. Then fill in this easy little form and upload the photo and video.
The video can be shot on a phone or tablet – ideally in landscape mode. Please follow these instructions.
Part 1.
The girl should tell us her name and where she comes from, and tell us whether you play rugby/ripper rugby or even if you aspire to play in the future.
Then tell us a short story. It can be any story inspired by the word “hero”. For example a story about someone you admire. Please keep it to no more than 1 minute long.
Part 2.
Shoot this part in close up on just the girl’s face. Act out a little moment as if she is about to go on the field. She should have wide eyes, full of anticipation, fear, and mixed with excitement. She takes a calming breath as she looks out to the field she’s about to play on. Maybe she hears a cheer from a parent behind her so looks to the side, gives her parent a small smile, looks ahead and puts her game face on, then runs off as if onto the field. Please keep it to no more than 1 minute long.
Both videos combined should be no longer than TWO MINUTES
