Day 45 - 12/10/16
Here you can see a before and after shot. Harley playing my stand-in (with his favourite mug ) establishes a frame for where I will sit. As you can see the biggest change between the two shots is our kitchen vs a movie kitchen, or perhaps more accurately a dirty kitchen and a clean kitchen. Even just tidying up a room can improve the look of it on screen dramatically. The stains on the front of the oven were particularly reluctant to come off. This sequence was showing the passage of time through a series of jump cuts. I was thinking of a Wes Anderson style for this frame and I’m glad we documented our kitchen onscreen as it was likely never this tidy again. Special thanks to Craig Watson for assuming camera duties for this scene.

After 7 years our feature film Older is finally being released and to commemorate this I’ve picked a still from each day of production to explore the epic journey we went on from start to finish.
