Merry Christmas and thanks everyone for watching the films and following this channel. 🎩
3500 subscribers! Yay! Very happy having reached out to so many from all over the world with my take on history. Thanks for all the comments, as well as the inspiration and help from other filmmakers-documentarians, laymen and historians.

I have new filmmaking projects in the pipeline but for now we must all take a well-deserved break from the troubles of this world and recharge our batteries - for we are all going to need it to face the music next year, and dance.

And so the film on Denmark-Norway is nearing its completion.
Naturally, the relationship between Denmark and Norway, ends in 1814.
But what was really 1814? The writing of the Norwegian constitution is a really deep, complicated topic; and there are dozens of theories as to why it actually ocurred. A culmination of external events or a revolution within? As I put the finishing touches on this film; I cant help but wonder what if the external events in Europe 1814 had turned out differently.

Lots of engagement on my film «Norway’s last days of war». Some commenters think I try to reflect on the entire war at such and that’s not the case.

It’s a clickbaity title of course, but it is essentially about a smaller incident that played a role towards the end of WW2 in Norway, set in a larger context. The battle is not a very well known piece of history, its a local thing - but thats what my YouTube channel is all about. I create many of these short films to encourage you to go and reinvestigate smaller pieces of history. A film is a film, driven by narratives and the camera eye. For summaries and a large view we need books and publications, always.

I have been featured on the The Norway Building / Thamspaviljongen website, with the short video I made this summer! 😃

One of this summer's visitors, Lars Harald Gathe, was inspired to make a spontaneous video with the headline "The Norway Building - A Traveling Building". It was his personal thanks and greetings along with thoughts about the pavilion's contribution to world history.

For Lars Harald Gathe, the story began with his and Nils Hartvig Johansson's visits to Wisconsin and The Norway Building in 2012, the same year as the immigrant museum Little Norway was closed. The visit to America resulted in a video called "Norwegian American". An interview with owner Scott Winner is a small but interesting part of the video that is 54 minutes long and has been viewed 26,000 times!

Coronavirus and exams have been making on-location filmmaking a very slow-moving project the last months.

But finally wrapped my film photography of the stave churches. Now I can only mess it up in editing. 😆

-Update!- The channel is growing slowly but surely, with some really nice feedback and positive comments from you (and even a few new Patreons) so far this year.
My next video is on the man, the polar legend ; Roald Amundsen.
It features his 'lost ship' Maud and an interview with polar explorer Børge Ousland.
It is in the works, but taking a little time. Hopefully a premiere in the next few weeks.
