Of course, there are general standards and norms in the society that everyone needs to adhere to, but some standards that we strive so much to meet up with are mere colorations of what a certain group of people want everyone in the world to become.

In this sense, these groups of people want their own standards to be the final and general, whereas, there are people who have naturally been created to be unique and to stand out.

These imposed standards are not the norm or required, but were simply created by a certain group of people with certain beliefs and life patterns; and then they expect everyone to align with their own beliefs of what we should be and how we should live.

A few days ago, I stumbled on a video where Apostle Femi Lazarus spoke about “Seeing” and it inspired my message today.

Even as a child, I have always lived in a fantasy world and sometimes I feel like I take the fantasy thing too far because at some point, everything around me could be on fire and I will just create an alternate reality in my head where I am dancing in the snows.

Good Morning Beloved!
In the past weeks…or even months, I found myself in a really really dark place. A place I thought I had broken out of years back.

One thing I have realized in this journey of personal growth is that you are never truly done with healing. Once in a while, old wounds will reopen themselves to test how far you have come and what is left to heal.

These past weeks were really tough for me. I found myself crawling back into mindsets, feelings and situations that took me years to break out of. It was like every personal work I had done for the past four years all came crashing down on me in one instant.

The worst part was that this crash was such a gradual process that I didn’t realize what was going on until I found myself in the abyss of my darkness. See it like drifting down into an ocean slowly until you find yourself at the bottom and realize you actually fell 10,000 feet down.

The life of every man or woman is shaped by their childhood experiences. Every man or woman you see today is a product of the first 15 years of their lives.

The pleasant lady you know, bad attitudes you see, the cheerful person you like, the angry man you know, the bitter lady you see are all a product of the environment they grew up, the people they grew up with, the kind of people they came in contact with and the experiences they had in the first 15 years of their lives.

As long as a child can see and hear, they understand everything that goes on around them, they feel just like every other human adult. Even worse because an adult can easily process negativity based on experiences. For children, negative experiences are everlasting scars that they carry all their lives, unless they take extra efforts to heal those scars.

Most of the time, we take actions and treat children poorly with the excuse that “he/she is just a child”. Sorry to disappoint you …
